Advice
spend the 2k and get a proper vinyl wrap. the plasti dip stuff= you get what you pay for. I've seen it done in person on two different cars, i was less than impressed even for the $250 total cost.
My E55 now matte white/ with carbom fiber moldings/carbon fiber mirrors ..... from glossy white original

....what do you like about the original stock/gloss better?
if it's the black trim throwing you off it's the carbon fiber and you can't really tell it from pics as it looks just like black molding until you see in person. i as well as most others who have seen it in person prefer the matte white look. you are not alone however as a few others have stated they liked it gloss better. the nice thing is in a year or so i may take it back to that color- pretty easy with the 3m wraps. the only thing hard about keeping it clean is the whit wrapped wheels

no i think the matte white works just as well as the gloss white. it's just the trim that's throwing me off. i understand it's carbon fiber, but that doesn't necessarily mean it works. obviously this is just my opinion, but i have a silver car and just installed a carbon fiber spoiler that i'm regretting already. i've tried to convince myself that it looks good, but i'm just going to end up taking it off and painting it to match my car. it makes the car look A LOT cleaner as i think yours does in your signature.

A wrap is 4k - 6k depending on the job and type of vinyl.
I wrapped my car and it was great! But matte look is kinda played out now I loved mine.....
Also don't dip your car... people who do that aint that bright.

A good quality wrap shouldn't run more than $2,500
You're 100% correct with the plasti dip stuff. I've seen cars done with that stuff... you get what you pay for.
