That was posted in another thread. It's asking pretty much MSRP + taxes. Don't see what the big fuss is about.

The car is fully loaded with every single option, which puts it at $129k pre PDI/doc fees/tax etc.

depends who you ask... i say no, not yet.... next year when there are absolutely none left at dealers, and no customers that decide to back out, then yes...

but i am a Porsche guy turned AMG neophyte to the site... so defer to the elders...

Forgive my ignorance, but I thought if you ordered the giant rear spoiler you couldn't get the back seat?

"Base MSRP: $105,000, USA Launch - Spring 2012,

This car is a fully optioned out Black Series with rear seat removal option from factory, obtaining this car is far and few available.

This was a $130,925.00 optioned car. Nothing spared when this car was ordered.

Optional Forged Matt Wheels,
Exterior carbon Fiber Package,
Optional Trak Package ($$4450),
Aero Dynamic Package $9450),
AMG Performance Media (Telemetry, Data Logger, Horse Power torque and Throttle, TPMS, Performance Timing, $2500),
Extremely limited volume..."

Do you think it's gonna matter when this monster pulls into the lot and all the jaws drop, that owner paid a little more than 7% over sticker?

Most ding dongs waste that much in extended warranties and rust proofing

From what I've been lead to believe, these cars are super scarce, fully loaded cars like this even scarcer....this seems to be priced reasonably, in view of its options, so I would've thought it's pretty good value.
Cheers, Pickles.

Cars
Damn, pretty much same price as mine, which doesn't have the aero package (sometimes I regret that, but mostly not) - good old taxes....

2013 C63 Black Series
I know where I am going to come to sell my low mileage BS if/when I decide to sell

I am really surprised that people think paying a price over MSRP for a titled used car with mileage is a good deal. There are still new ones at MSRP with dealers if a buyer is willing to put in the time and effort to find one. I found one (several actually), Green Lantern found one. And there will 2013 models that people decide to not take delivery on.

Buying a new one over MSRP I get, if necessary. And buying new or used at a premium once they are all produced and in limited supply, I get. But paying at or over MSRP for a used one now, when they are still rolling off the assembly line new at MSRP?

I thought that the Porsche GT3 RS crowd drew in the $$, the cult around the BS is even stronger! Its a good thing I suppose!

Did you miss the part where it has 2650 miles?

But yeah... they were probably soft highway driven miles from an old man who babies the car.

To each their own but the car is barely worth MSRP in my opinion. Paying that much over MSRP for DRIVEN 2650 mile car is absurd. If it was new and zero miles I wouldn't have posted it.

Edit: The pics say 2867 but the description says 2650.

Not that cars are investments but things like this still have value but if its anything like the scarce 2008 Black Series its value will be quickly gone in the next year few years.

2008 Black Series. 1 of 100 made I guess with this option. 4K miles. Only 1200 than this listed car. MSRP 139K before taxes.

Like I said, just my opinion. There is a buyer for everything and people value things differently. I think they will be pretty hard pressed to sell that car at that price. We shall see by next year I guess.

AFAIK, about 350 CLK blacks were produced for the U.S., and about 100 C blacks. The MSRP seems to be about equal. I think next year we'll know the reasonable resale value.

Yeah, I figured it was 1 of 100 blacks. The miles on almost every CLK BS I see for sale is under 10K and the average sale is about 80-90K. A pretty decent resale but none the less a big drop for a low miles collectible.

Ill use the 2008 Z06 as an example: 7700 made. MSRP 80K. Sell price today: 50-55K with low miles. About 35% less than MSRP.

The Black Series, a limited car, has more depreciation a massively produce domestic car. That is some scary data. Why do you think that is?

I think maybe 15 years from now we will see the CLK BS worth some big money. Possibly the same with the C63 BS as well. We shall see.

I think several factors. One, when the car came out the economy was going in the tank, and even people with money were holding off spending. They may have produced too many?? Sounds odd with only 350, but it's a very specialized car. I also think being the first of it's kind, for the most part, people just didn't know what to think. The true gear heads know what the car is, but most don't. It just doesn't have the reputation, yet, of a P car, but I think over the next few years, that'll change.

You're getting more raped buying a 5 year old 08 Z06 in the mid $50's....they're easily in the mid $40's and they stickered in the $90's here which is over 60% depreciation
