i drive them all, fast and hard
I set my cruise to 99

Yeah I bought my car for show.

I stand by what I said. Too many street racers out there causing bad things on the road. Everyone thinks they are Schumacher . They aren't.

I love driving fast. But just take to a safe place. I've seen too much of the bad ramifications of what can happen first hand. And it's not pretty

Man, after 2 speeding tickets in 6 months (both of which I was able to beat) I set mine to 75. Most speed limits around the bay area are 65 and trust me, this area/state needs revenue. 100+ if you're not going to jail, you're losing your license.

That's really harsh.

In Poland the max. fine You can get is 1000PLN ($300 - and that is in extreme cases).
Usually, if you go 50km/h over the speed limit or more, you pay $150 and get 10 points (max. no. of points is 24 - then You lose your license).
Even if you drive 220km/h where the limit is 100km/h, the max. fine will be $150.

But then again, the car accident death rates in Poland are extremely high...

I had a highway patrol officer in Cali ask if i had an RPG in my car after he beat the crap out of me too.

My jaw dropped and he goes, "I'M SERIOUS I'VE FOUND BOMBS BEFORE....."
Right....

Probably why I got off easy too

You a$$shole fûcking piece of shït, fücking pu$$y, and then when he searched me he grabbed my ***** like a mother fücker.

So yeah, he profiled me and trust me when I say I wasn't doing anything reckless. I was just accelerating fast trying to listen to the new exhaust note, the day I had my resonator removed. (My arrest is actually the reason why I put it back, was too loud).

I used to drive all the time like a dîck, and many times I would've deserved the ticket for reckless driving, but not this time. I wasn't doing anything really bad. It was an open road, (395 on the way to the beach) and I was doing 70 over 50.... maybe less.

What sucks is that I saw him behind me and thought that he wouldn't care because he was speeding too...

That is seriously sad. But I can't blame them there is too many morons who are killing people speeding. Go look up USA statistics and you will see why they are so hard on speeding. I save all that for the track now.

That's sad bro. Fortunately I live in Miami where almost everyone is mixed... I don't even wanna imagine what would have happened to me if I was in a southern state... I've never seen someone who had much hate in him like the "captain" who arrested me, insulted me and humiliated me in public.

Actually, I thought I saw a report that said less than 10% of roadway fatalities are associated with speeding. Usually it's because of some sort of distraction or negligence.

Overall, vehicles "traveling too fast for conditions" accounted for only five percent of the critical pre-crash events

Yeah, I thought it was only 5%, but I wanted to be conservative since I couldn't be positive.

Two years ago I got a speeder in Chicago in my 2010 C63 (back then) doing 118 in a 55 on Lidar at the 90/94 fork towards o'hare airport by a state trooper. I was attempting to get on to the other highway and an SRT car decided to speed up and not let me by so I naturally and egotistically hit the gas to get on the highway leading me home..... Needless to say, I should have just slowed down and taken my lane.

I hired the best attorneys in town, (those who defended Blagojevich (governor of IL) in the beginning before he went broke, and R Kelly's former attorney) Ed Genson as new the laws call 40+ class B misdemeanor and carries up to 365 days in jail time if convicted.

well yesterday was the last court date, and after taking a plea deal, the judge reversed on some of it and handed my *** to me on a silver platter.

I havent gotten any speeding tickets in the two years since that ticket, but that did not matter too much to him.

I have to check in with social services once a month, and I am banned from leaving the country (which I have appealed) if I am to get ANY traffic violation in this time, he says he will put me in the lock up, for a good 364 days.

Additionally, any ticket I have ever gotten that was vacated or so called "taken off my record" was nicely available for him to see, since 1996, and well..... that didn't work out so well either. You cant bring those cases up in Felony cases but in Misdemeanors, you can. Funny how the law works.

And Crazy! Sad how 10 seconds of lead footing cost me thousands in attorney fees, and a hair away from the worst possible scenario. My attorneys were flabbergasted, said first time in 7 years they have seen a judge not agree with a plea deal.

I guess I will be spending lots of time on the track.

Very sorry to read that....that punishment is ridiculous..IMHO....but it is a REALITY on many roads these days, including Aus.
Years ago, there used to be such a thing as "dangerous driving" that had to be proven before ya got a fine. Not now....and it's all about revenue raising.
Someone said, "take it to a safe place"??!!....Tell me,..where is a "safe place", in the eyes of the law?
Several years ago, I was travelling through the Aussie Bush (miles from anywhere), & I entered an area where there were double lines in the middle of the road, which you are not allowed to cross to overtake. I was in a 100kph (60MPH) zone. I came upon a couple of small cars, Corolla & a Hyundai travelling together...I was in my GTO.....like I said it was a 100k zone, but these guys were travelling at around 70/75kph, except when there was a short break in the double lines (overtaking allowed), when they would speed up to around 90kph, making it difficult for me to overtake safely, curvy road/double lines......but I could've (overtaken)..GTO had 400+HP....but I decided no, I'll wait until it's safe to do so...So I did (wait). Eventually, I came to the end of the double lines....totally flat wide open space, ya can see for MILES...no traffic anywhere, except for these two idiots who'd been giving me the finger & purposely holding me up. So, I thought the best thing to do would be to round up these two idiots & get past 'em.....so I did..like I said.....IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE....so, I get past.....and there's a cop on a bike, on the side of the road....gets me on the radar..142kph in a 100 zone....4 demerit points, & a $440 fine. So that's what i get for waiting to overtake in a "safe" place.
In Australia, there is no "safe" place.....we drivers get crucified....people are convicted of assaults, robberies, all sorts of stuff, & the penalties are weak.
All we hear from the Govt & the Police is SPEED, SPEED, SPEED, as if it's the "root of all evil"...which it isn't.....but of course it's easy to prosecute, they quote the number of bookings....but many are for doing just 3-4 ks over the limit...ie 64ks in a 60 zone...ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.
So, I feel for you.
Cheers, Pickles

Laser Jammer. Take any and all counter measures (legal or not). I kinda like the chaff and flares that Airforce One has.

People really think going over 100 is reason to lose your license for life? seriously!? Get over yourselves!

Sucks some of you guys have been treated so harsh because of your ethnicity. I've been pulled over at 120mph in a 65 zone because I was late for class when I was in college. The cop was cool about it, wrote me up for 99 even though he clocked me at 120.

Not all the cops are *******s! On my way back from New york to Miami I got pulled over by a Georgia Trooper. (I have disabled K bands on my radar detector, that's how he flashed me). I was doing 90 over 70 and he ticketed me for 81 in that way I don't have to show up in court. He asked my where I was coming from so I explained him that I was visiting schools in NYC and that I've been driving the whole day. I think he also liked the fact that I pulled over before he even put his lights on lol. I was watching him coming in my rear mirror

Most of our injuries or deaths from speeding come within the same context.
"At midnite a 16 year old was driving (against cali law unless with an adult) with 3 of his 16 year old friends (against cali law anytime of the day) in excess of 85mph and lost control of the vehicle ejecting two rear seat passengers (no seat belts) killing both and causing serious injury to the driver and front seat passenger." Experience counts.

I had a similar situation, clocked at 114 with another car that had passed me on the 15 headed to Palm Desert CA, the cop said he pulled me over because he thought about getting my car (E55), he went on to explain how he radioed ahead to another cruiser to get the guy that was traveling faster than me . The only reason he let me off with a 85 is because he liked my car and wondered how I liked it. He said normally in these situations they could impound my car and I would goto jail for the night, but he let me slide with a ticket.

At 118, you should have kept the hammer down and claimed you never saw him. That's a lot of catching up to do.

I got pinched at 19 at about 115 RACING. $2500 wreckless driving ticket, no arrest, reduced to carelss and a 500 fine. I guess times have changed. It will all be over soon and when you're old, you'll laugh about it.
