No problem. It should be easy to add 2 more to the dinner. Plus, if you're there by 4:30, you should be able to make the group ride. I've allotted 1.5 hours for the ride even though it should only take just over an hour, just in case we hit traffic or get slowed down by tourists.

Unfortunately I missed you guys. I arrived around 5 and I knew I would miss the ride but I thought why not catch them on the road. It was a beautiful road I enjoined it, I would enjoyed it more if I were with you guys.
Next time ill plan it well.
Let us do another meeting soon.

Well, I am tired. this is my third and last attempt to post this without pushing the wrong button on IE.
First, I knew I would not make it if I posted something like "I plan to be there", so glad to have made it. Great group of people.
First time being the lead car and it looked like it worked out alright. We did not loose anyone, made some good stops, did not get any tickets, and no one complained the E was too slow!
Everyone was worried when we hit fog on 92 heading west. 1 was foggy the whole way, but when we stopped at the San Gregorio corner store, you could tell it would open up as we went up 84.
For those of you who have not been there before this is the link

It was while we were here that clichere1 probably blew past us. Guess he did not think much of an E63 parked with it's lights on. He must have just missed us in San Mateo.
Heading up 84 is a blast, but a Toyota Corolla could have ruined the day. Fortunately, some high beam blinking and a trail of cars behind me got them to pull over.
At 84 and Skyline we took some pictures
After that we headed back to 92 on Skyline and then to the restaurant, Espetus. We waddled out around 9pm stuffed on lots of excellent meats. Anyone want to guess how many of us there were? EDIT: Oh wait, I only deleted one of 2 places it is shown.
So it was definitely a great time. The dinner and conversation were as good as the drive.
We saved an LSD tonight! Many of you did not know a lot about the maintenance on your cars and biglee73 had just hit 2000 miles without knowing the LSD had to have the oil changed at that point.
With that in mind I proposed the next GTG be a maintenance clinic, and Rick who ownes Great Marques Classic and Vintage Car Restoration in Redwood city offered to host. I will post about this in the future.
Third times a charm! Good night.
Oh, and for those who want to see that pass on the Porsche GT3 again, jump to 7:00. http://youtu.be/bq-kmFuiirw

Haha, thanks Jon! Great job as lead car and pacing the pull offs. You also did a nice job leading the pace once we had the opportunity to open up on 84.
P.S. I don't think anyone uses IE anymore

For some reason, my panoramic photo stitching sw keeps cutting out or ghosting one of the cars. Can someone try to create a panoramic images out of these?

Hey Jon,
That was me with the LSD fluid change after the 2000 miles.
Here's the raw footage from my go pro. You can really hear Jimmie or Mike's exhaust making the right turn out of the parking lot.

Hey guys, this is cool !
Please post next time in other AMG forums as well. I'd love to join you next time, unfortunately found about this too late since I don't follow C63 forum on a daily basis :-) -> CL55 from Sunnyvale.
BTW who is planning to attend AMG sponsored meet up on 10/27 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana ?
Maybe we could organize some group drive down there
Cheers !

I thought about that, but when I saw that there were like 15 AMG subforums, I decided not to barrage everyone with the same thing. Maybe next time I'll post a link to the thread in the "General" forum.

Awesome! Thanks, man. For some reason, it kept doing weird things with two of the cars. I Usually when I overlap images, it recognizes it and uses it as the merge point, but it was doing weird things even after I tried cropping the individual images to cut together.
