V8 Supercars in Australia have now taken on some E Class AMG's to the lineup for 2013 V8 Supercar Championship.

AWESOME news.....as long as it's done properly.....there are some VERY VERY professional teams in V8 Supercars.....incl. Stone Bros, who will need to be at the top of their game, & have "support" from all the appropriate sources, to make this venture a success.

It is not a factory team or Merc/AMG sponsored I believe. Was having a chat with OP today about it, it seems it is a private team using the E class with Mercs 'blessing.' Apparently they are paying AMG to use/develop the engine though.
