Hi Andrew, thank you for your reply, I was browsing the web to collect information about the installation of the original reversing camera even from German website (thanks google traduction).
For now I know that I need 3 parts: Camera, modulator, wiring.
I found on ebay these parts:

Reverse camera for W207: which they say that it’s compatible with w212 and w204.
Backup camera Part number: A2128201897

I bought a used Modulator the correct one this time (Q1 not Q2 as in w204)
Modulator Part number: A2128270006.

The problem now is the wiring; the only kit that I was able to find is for W164 NTG 2.5. I’m quite sure that they will plug in inside all the parts, the problem is the diagram.
I was looking for the diagram everywhere but I’m still not sure, so I will post some photos to help me out.

The W164 wiring you see on ebay.de is for the ML it wont work and its not OEM parts someone made a replica wireing harness.

If you have a W212 Chassis all your parts should start with A212...

If you give me your VIN number its on the driver side windshield of your car I can tell you the correct wiring harness you need to order from your dealership. I can also give you the correct installation instructions the... pdf you have there is for the W204

Hi Andrew, I'm trying to find the VIN number, my car is European car (Germany), there is no number on the windshield, the only number i found is the identification number which start with WDD212XXXXXXX, i found under the seat. which i think it is the wrong one.

That could be the vin pm it to me . It should be inside one of the front doors on a label.

BTW any of the parts number quoted are for research purposed only I don't guarantee it will work for the intended purposes...

Sorry, been a while since I was on. Yes, occasionally I do. The problem with the old COMAND units is that they were before backup cameras and I don't think they were ever offered, so the firmware for the automatic display is just not in existence. Your project is a wealth of information, and whenever I give up on my car, I will probably end up with a w204, if not a C63...--at least of some nature.

Any idea where I can find it?

Need more details I have no idea what your talking about? If your car did not come with the camera from the factory you just can't buy the camera you need to buy other components and wiring harnesses.

I bought all the needed wiring harnesses and the modulator through mercedes dealer. I installed them and when I tried to conect the boot harness to the camera I noticed that my ebay camera has not the correct pin to conect. After a small search I noticed that the camera must have attatced a small 3-5inch long cable...I can not post a photo, the A2128202797 code # includes the camera and the cable that I am missing...

There is no factory 3-5" cable needed to install on a W204 chassis. what is the parts number on your camera maybe its a Chinese replica

A2128202797 is not for your car the only parts you should be using including the camera start with A204 if its for a C63

Yes thats the right camera with the right plug on the end, there are two wiring harnesses that you have to install, one runs from the voltage modulator to the front of the car and the other from the voltage modulator into the trunk and trunk lid, what is the parts number of wiring harness your trying to plug into your camera, maybe its for a coupe? Mine was more then long enough how did you route it in the trunk and trunk lid maybe you went the wrong way and made it to short by mistake.

I don't feel like the camera is worth the upgrade if your vehicle didn't come with it.
My car came with it and backup camera is not even that clear.

Yes I agree to you, I think a backup sensor will be more beneficial.

This cable shown in the photo, it is a cable 3-5 inch long cable...one side is attatched to the camera with 6pin plug and the other is attatched to the car harness...This cable and the camera shares the some part #...This cable is missing...Any help?

I'm asking because I'm trying to install a back-up camera in my 2013 A Class W176, and the mercedes Dealers don't know how to do it...

Do you know what parts do I need? How should I do this?
