LOL.. btw, why u didnt buy a BS (new or used) vs building your own conversion?
And will the final price be cheaper than the real BS.. just curious. haha.

Car looks amazing already, can't imagine how great it's going to look with the BS conversion completed.
Good luck and I can't wait to see the finished product.

2013 C63 Coupe BS Conversion
I tried like crazy to get a real BS. No way it was happening. I had half a dozen dealerships trying to get me an allocation and none of them came through. The only one I found was one in Toronto that some guy bought, didn't even pick up, and was willing to sell me. He then told me he wanted $190K. No way I was paying anywhere near that. After exhausting all my options, my dealer told me he'd order the parts for me at cost if I bought the C63 from him so I went that route. Let's just say that after parts and labour, this car will be significantly cheaper than what a BS would have run me. I'm not trying to pretend it's a real Black Series but the wide-body look was something I needed. Stay tuned for more updates.

Yeah that would be awesome if we can pull it off next spring.
It would be a nice group cruise for both sides (Ottawa & TO members).
In Ottawa, we are a small group but I'm sure I can convince few of them to join.. Not sure about our friends in TO.. Tim, Nick, Jason, Karkid, Sajun what u all think? Lol

I'll copy and past my post from above:

Glad someone else is doing this using the OEM BS parts!! You are going to be so glad you did.

Did you get the carbon fiber pieces as well?

As far as cost is concerned. Even using all OEM BS parts the conversion is MUCH less than buying a BS.

The side inserts and rear are carbon...only one I didn't do was the front. It was almost $5K alone and seeing yours without the carbon insert convinced me that I didn't need it. Should I change my mind, I can add it on at a later date. Ya, seeing all the kits out there, it wasn't much more to go all OEM and I'm having it all done at an MB approved body shop who guarantees all their work and told me that it will look like factory BS once they are done with it. I've seen their work and it's top quality and the guy in charge knows his stuff! Early stage pics hopefully coming next week.

I didn't get any of the carbon pieces. I had to call it a day at some point. I personally don't think any of the carbon is required but I road race and abuse the car at times.

One HUGE word of warning to all BS conversion guys. Just in front of the rear tires will get sand blasted in high speed events. I did NOT see that coming. I did a Dupont Registry Airport event last Friday night and we were giving rides. It was a blast but when I got home both rear quarter panels in front of the rear wheels was sand blasted. Not funny. Back to the paint shop again. CRAPP!!!!!!!!!!
I'll have the 3M tape on it next time. Just letting you know.
