I HATE braking. Wish we had roads in va where you could stomp the gas the whole way haha.

I do not believe you can just buy the tail cover. Go to the dealer so they can tell you if it comes separate from the light unit.
I would try like others have proposed to sand the lens. You have nothing to lose.
If you need to buy new ones, do not go to the dealer and buy it from www.mercedesparts.com for example.

Did they use the product "Night Shades"? Some gasoline and lots of rubbing will remove it.
