Hi, Guys:
I am new to this forum, used to drive E92 M3, which has been sold as it was not practical to carry my 16 months old baby out.

Thinking to join C63 family and love the interior of the facelift C63. Does any of you carry your baby out in you C63 on a daily basis? My son's car seat is front facing, could someone post some pics with car seat in the back?

I am quite tall, about 6"4, I test drove an old C63 the other day and I assume the interor space is the same to the new verson. I have to push the seat kinda of all the way to the back, you can see the pic with the front seat adjusted, not too much leg room for my son if the car seat is fitted（I like to put the car seat behind the driver's seat）, any opinions or experience? Should I buy C63 or go for a bigger car ?Thanks a lot.

It's Jordan!! Ha! Anyway, I have a child, no pics of her seat in it though. The best position was behind the passenger seat. With your height, it is the only real option. Plus, I liked to look at her. I'm a little "tidy", so I put a cover over the back of the seat, to prevent her darling little feet from scratching it. It is my daily driver and I have had no issues. I know you prefer her behind you, but it is your only option, behind the passenger. As far as a different car, I don't know. I wanted the C63 and fit my life around my car choice. Obviously, it is up to you. I would get the C63 and opt for him behind the passenger, but up to you. Let me know if this helped, or if you have more questions.

I would suggest Something bigger. C63 is good for daily driving..rarely carry people on the backseat..The suspension is a little solid, considering the road condition in your area. It will be bumpy and is not feeling good on the back seat..

Just curious, have you ever ridden in the backseat of your car? My daughter is four now, has never said a word about being uncomfortable or that it's too bumpy.

my daughter is 14mths old and her carseat is behind the passenger seat.

No problems so far i also put a blanket there and underneath the carseat so the leather will not get damaged.

the c63 is definitely functional for this... and it is also my dd. However, on family trips, we roll with the wife's GLK lol... it is definitely more spacious

I do the same thing for the leather. I have a towel and a seat protector w/ storage pocket under the carseat. The towel for crumbs and food, the protector for the leather. Well, I have a talking and interacting daughter now, and like I said, I have heard not ONE complaint.

Go for the C63, you will love it. But I am biased!!!

answer is no, get an e, more room is better, we had a c320, kids fit but was tight, plus they will just get bigger

The back seat is way too small for adults and not much better for kids. Knee/leg room is severely limited. When my kids were little they kept kicking the back of my seat! Get an E550 or E63 instead.

You can get an E63.

I have one with three kids (1 month, 7 & 9 years) it's pretty ok.
The C I think it's small for that purpose.

Yes. I did. Maybe because I am a 6' tall guy fitting in the back is very uncomortable. But as a driver. No doubt about it..

I went through the same when moving from a BMW 5 series..tried a C63 and found it to be to small for family..ended up with ML63

Thank you so much for all the inputs, guys. I do not like SUV, so maybe I will move onto and look for a bigger sedan. Like E63 or M5.

I have 2 kids, 7 & 9, who I drive to school every day. My daughter used to get sick in my 335 e90 but has no problems with the C. My kids love the car and fit it just fine. We do, however, have a minivan we can use when more space is required. It's a little more spacious than the e90, and a little more yet than an e92 but it doesn't exactly echo in there. Biggest hassle of the e92 is the two door factor, particularly with a car seat. Believe me when I say that if you want the C it's fine. By the time you've grown out of it you'll want another car anyways.

Besides, after driving an M3 you owe it to yourself to get a C63 so you can experience a car that actually has some torque.

I totally agree what you said, I now want something that has low end torque which is more practical in street driving. M3 is a well-balanced machine and I missed that car a lot. But now, I jusy simply wants to join the AMG family to experience a different feeling.

2 kids, 14 and 12. They are both fine in the rear with me at 185 CM. You should be fine for a few more years.

Remember the current recommendation is rear facing until 24 months instead of 12 months. Of course, rear facing as long as possible per studies done in Scandinavian countries.

I know rear facing is safer, but my son is already too tall to be put in a rear-facing car seat

Rear facing isn't a question of safer. There are guidelines as to what size/age child is for the specific seat. Meaning, there are no rear facing seat manufactured for children of a certain size. The auto industry, as well as the government safety board, have manufactured different seats that accommodate children at their different stages in life. Jordan, and I KNOW that you are, just follow the "rules" that you have become aware of and are set out by the various companies.

You have already gotten much positive feedback about kids/families and the C63. It works, and we all love our cars. You will have to make your decision, but if you want to have fun for many years with convenience and performance, the C63 will not let you down. As your family grows, grow your car with it.

A possibility: you will end up loving your C63 and, in all likelihood, will try to keep it and get another car to help accommodate a larger family. But for a few years, you will have nothing to worry about. Just follow the childseat guidelines and you will be fine. Oh and per your preference, once your boy has been behind the passenger, instead of your seat, you won't even be bothered by it.

Anyway, obviously you have my opinion. I am done. I just like accurate information and prefer subjects to be covered correctly, sorry it's what I do for a living. I keep interjecting, but want all points to be stated with correct info. I know that you have your son and his needs taken care of. You've heard from several of us about the C63 and our kids. I guess that's what you wanted and why you posted. Good luck!!

Thank you for you opinion, Jordan. I do have a X5 which can be used for family trip.
And based on your words, other people's suggestions and my own research, highly likely I will end up choosing a C63.

I've got a 3yo and 5yo and both loving going in Daddy's car. No issues so far.

I have a 16 month old girl, she's in a front facing car seat from Recaro, it's pretty big. I am 5'11 and she is in the middle back seat, fits perfectly fine. I have a protector under the car seat and shoes are always off when she is in the seat so no scratches!

Damn 6'4? I can barely fit and Im only 6'2, and the way I keep my seat I can only put a jacket behind me.

Booster seat for a 5 y/o in the Black Series. There's TONS of room. My old C63 sedan was slightly roomier for a child though.

Don't forget to get Video in Motion from mid city engineering to keep the kids occupied!

If I was going to daily drive my kids in an AMG, it would be an E63.

Like Rage2, I have had them in the Black Series, but more for fun factor/car shows/etc. not in/out daily.
