Trade in my 11' sedan for 12' coupe help?
Hey guys wondering what you think. i think i want to trade in for a coupe, just not sure if its a smart move. My car is a fully loaded 11' sedan with P31 pack and LSD.
The 12' coupe has premium pack, interior carbon trim, and designo red/black leather.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
Don't do it. Your current car has ALL of the performance of the "newer" car....PLUS LSD....so why would ya do it?
Best to wait for the REAL "update" of C63, with new engine, & see what ya wanna do then.
Cheers, Pickles.

I would to do it, but not for that car. Without P31 you will be disappointed in straight line performance vs your 2011, and everything should be an upgrade or there's no sense in making the switch.

I'd keep the 2011 until the New M3/C63/ISF/Infiniti G performance model come out. I'm thinking in a year from now we should start to see some new models appear that will raise the bar! Then again if you're like me and go through cars every 1 to 2 years then you might as well upgrade now.

Exactly as Bmoney12 said in 1-2 years the newer models will show up bringing better technology and performance. The 2011 and 2012's are to close to each other to make a jump. I would wait to see what is gonna be in store.

I don't get waiting 2 years for a car....6 months, absolutely. 12 - maybe. 2 years and we don't even know what it looks like?
I'm not that old, but one thing I've learned in life is you need to balance the future and the present. In this case, unless you've only got one shot at a car....get what you want and enjoy it.

Don't do it. I drove loaded 12 coupes (P31/LSD) at the AMG Academy but was happy to return to my 11 at the end of the day. There is really no upgrade in performance, and the interior upgrades alone are not worth it, at least to me. Like everyone else said, wait to see what's around the corner. From what I have heard, there are some significant upgrades coming in the future, and not just from Mercedes.
Enjoy your 2011 P31. It is an amazing car. I can understand spending more on something that is significantly better, but jumping to a non P31/LSD coupe from a loaded 2011 is not a good idea.
