Just Did my C63 mid pipe

Sounds like this is what I've been looking for! I had straight pipes but it was too loud so I put back the resonator!
So.. How do I make my car sound like yours Mike? I've been told that my car doesn't have 2ndary cats (I don't know if it's true lol)

I know! I wanted louder but not too loud. Please snap a pic of the car under it and I can tell you if the mid pipe will work.
If you want it everyone who is local can pay $380.00 since I don't have to PayPal or buy a box bubble wrap foam peanuts and ship it over ( $20 extra I was talking about earlier ). The pipe will bolt right in and clamp on. One cut that's it.

I am still in. But I just realized that I should find out a key factor in this endeavor. I have Kleemann long tubes, will your design work with them? Not really sure at this point, but if it does I am IN!!!!

I hope this helps

Kleeman longtubes? don't they only make the updated logs with hi flow cats aka K2?
#38
Someone was testing Kleemann longtubes in Europe and I think they scrapped the project. For a while, they were stocking Supersprint headers. I think they are selling some sort of longtube now since they are no longer making K2 manifolds.

They might have STARTED making the logs, updated I guess, but they did stop producing them for a while. I did used to have the log style, but all other exhaust components were OEM. Mine are the real deal, Kleemann long tube headers with downpipes and steel cats. I am still wondering if at the end of the "mid-pipe" so to speak, I could still used these beautifully crafted power pipes? I would install them directly after the Kleemann steel cats. Just looking for a solid answer. Thanks.

Brother shoot me a pic of how the car looks like underside so I can get you a solid answer. Some pics of the parts you have on might help too.

Here is what the Kleemann long tubes are and what I have. It is cold and night and I don't feel like jacking up the car and getting under. But here is a pick of exactly what I have:
Can you tell what the deal would be. All other exhaust components, thus far are still OEM.

It looks like you will be able to use the power pipes. If everything else is OEM then yes. Just to be 100% sure and not let you down shoot me the pics ASAP of the under side of the car that way I can give you a correct response. I really feel its gonna work but I want to take the extra step I would like someone to take with me. It's your hard earned $$$ so I want to make sure it will be doable in a proper clean instal.
As for the sound. Yes it's OEM only louder and with more volume. Not stupid loud just right. The cars natural growl is significantly enhanced. You can tell its not stock
Turn up the volume on some good speakers and you'll see

You will not loose HP with this mod. You are removing 2 cats that are the size of small watermelons. I'd say you will gain 10-15 HP. For the money you can't beat it.. Power and sound and still have money left over.
Let me know guys so I can et this list going. So far we have 1.
These pipe are made on a mandrel bending machine not your normal muffler shop pipe bender. It take time to re tool the machine used to do this. So it need to be done in a run of 10 or more to keep the cost down
Just in case I had a friend on the forum post some vids I took since I don't know how to do it.
The vid in the 1st page is of my car with the power pipe including the H mod to it the factory's resonator is still on the car. The only thing removed was the 2 rear cats and replaced with the power pipe.

Hey Mike, nice set up.
I would hope those guys would be interested in doing downpipes for a CLS and think they could be much cheaper. Can you PM me your email and the shop contact at your convenience.
It won't be till first quarter next year till I get the car but you seem to have found a qualified shop to do that stuff.

My problem can't get under the car. As you've seen my headers(above), all else is OEM, as stated before. I was out all last night trying to take some pics and none came out properly. I feel that I need to get it on a lift to get the shots, to be sure. But, If you can tell just by the shot of the Kleemann's, then I'm in still. All other piping from the end of Kleemann's tubing, again the end has a built-in steel cat(the first cat in our exhaust system), is still OEM. I have only installed the LTH and left all other cats, resonators, charcoals, etc., OEM. I am thinking that your tubing will fit and is a no brainer. Your thought, without the pics? I am still trying to figure a way to get pics. Maybe someone else on board can help??
At the moment, I'm still in.
