Hello!
I used to (and still do) drive a 2004 Lexus IS300. It has been my project car for the last 5 years, and following deployment I had planned to swap in an LS6 motor and make it a monster. Instead, I decided to go car shopping. I liked the M3 and was actually in the market for an E60 M5....until I drove the C63. I fell in love.
So here she is! 2010 C63 AMG with 6,000 miles. CPO until 2015/100,000 miles! I took off all the badges and left just the tripoint stars. I don't plan on doing anything to it yet. It's a beast. I'll just get some window tint, wire up the Valentine, and then add some laser interceptors. The Lexus will be the daily driver and the snow car. The Merc will never see bad weather (fingers crossed!)
At the dealer
Finally back home
next to the Lexus, which definitely needs some TLC after 8 months of neglect

Congrats on the new addition... you will love this torque monster. You should put back the emblems, debadging is not really for this car IMO. LOL
I also have a 2002 Lexus IS300 L-tuned. Here is a few pics: (are you a member of myis?)

It was just a little too busy looking and cluttered. And 6.3 written all over a car with a 6.2....that's just not my style. I'll let the exhaust note and the acceleration let you know it's an AMG. "Walk softly and carry a 6.2L V8." And every time I see a non-AMG car with AMG badges all over it, I can't help but think of how stupid it looks.

so do we.
congrats on the car... soon you'll realize that every minute or $ you put into the IS you could've put into the C63 and make it just that much more potent
btw, i have pretty much the same car. got rid of the old benz for this one. driving mine through any weather and every opportunity I can

Congrats on the new ride & enjoy in good health! Doesn't look like it has the performance pkg. Give it a tune and you will fall in love all over again, no doubt about it.
As for the IS, why an LS6 swap? You never considered the 2JZ as your first choice?!?

The IS only has bolt ons. It has headers, a y-pipe, a catback exhaust (Apexi World Sport 2), eibach prokit on koni yellows (on the lower spring perch), short shifter, fidanza 12.5 lb flywheel and an ACT street clutch. I also have my Valentine 1 hardwired in with the concealed display in the center console and a kill switch near my shifter. It's nothing fancy or extreme.
I was thinking of doing the LS6 swap because everyone seemed to have a turbo IS and I also wanted power with reliability. The uniqueness and torque were the appealing factors. Ultimately I still ended up with a pretty uncommon 6.2L V8 and 2 reliable cars
