In 1995 I stood and watched my Ferrari burn to the ground at the gas pump at a Texaco station in Monroe WA. Total loss....after first minute or 2 I was saying inside my head "Burn...burn" as at that point I no longer wanted it to be fixable.

Absolutely...If I could access my photobucket from this work computer I would post a pic (I am on a ship right now)....It made the front page of that towns newspaper. the nozzel did not "click" off when the tank was full...some fuel ran out and down the side of the car and before I could knock it out of gear and push it forward the hot exhaust ignited the vapors and that was all she wrote....By the time the fire dept. got there the overhead canopy above the pumps was already starting to catch.....the car was gone from the front tires back. 3 fire extinguishers at the station...one did not work, the other was used by a guy that was too far away for it to be effective and I was litterally standing in flames with a small dry chem ext. but it was to no avail....so we stood back and watched her go!

Their insurance took care of everything ( car cost me nothing) Including everthing I had in the car including Beretta .380, some opals I had bought in Australia (was going to have set in necklace for GF) etc...However I never did replace vin 10472 with another F car and to make the story a bit sadder I had been out to sea for almost 6 months and this happened on my first day home!
