You engage one reverse gear in C Mode and the other in S Mode as posted above.
In C Mode:
1. The vehicle starts out more gentle (second gear & higher ratio reverse), both forward and reverse, except under full throttle.
2. Traction and driving stability are improved on icy roads.
3. Upshifts occur earlier ever with higher throttle angles. The engine operates at lower revolutions and wheels are less likely to spin.
In S mode: means that upshifts occur later.
