The timing was right
I sold my SL55 and after some long days and late nights searching I tracked down a 2010 C63 with 15k on the clock. I'm pretty excited about being back in a C-class. To this day my old C55 was the funnest car I've ever owned. My old SL, although fast just never felt fun.
I'm pretty excited about this car and getting back into racing. One things for sure after having some C250's as loaner cars when my SL55 was int he shop I knew I didn't want MB-Tex. Mind boggling that a car as pricey as this would even have that as an option. I guess if you got kids or the potential to make a mess of the seats exists MB-tex has its place, but I just couldn't own a benz without leather.
I'm sure I'll be paying attention to this section of MBworld a bit more now that I too have to live with a C63. If my past experiences with AMG ownership tell me anything, learn to like the C250. As thats the loaner car you will for sure be driving from time to time.

I'm 34 years old, So its seems to be my final go at a car that is really fun. The SL was a real head turner. I got tons of complements on it. Alot of them unwanted conversation with complete strangers. that car just live up to the fun factor I was missing since my C55 supercharged days. I mean is was very fast, but the brakes were soft, The ride was rough. I mean you felt everything. I didn't feel safe racing it, due to movement at the top of the track.
I dont drink and drive. I use a DD service that drive my car and I home. So If I have my girlfriend with me, fitting 3 people in an SL gets old fast. I couldn't even make a run to Home Depot in the thing. and for get about a Costco trip. The trunk gets taken up by 1 thing of TP. I just was over it and time to move on.
As for mods, I'd like to say I'm going all out, but we will see. Headers and tune for sure. As for a Supercharger... I love what Weistec does, a great bunch of guys over there. I'm just going to see where I'm at with the car after after soem standard mods. Who knows I might be happy with that. If I'm not, the big power adders will come.
I am developing a rear muffler system for the C63 and having one will make that a lot easier to do. No deadlines, or need to get the car back to the customer. I got a chance to get the sound and performance right without rushing it.
