Does it matter? I'm a quart low.
Facing a NJ winter if that matters.

Not wanting to hijack your thread but what do MB use out there as stock oil on the standard C63?

It'll have to be the 0w then, don't think auto zone carries the 5w for the M156.

Call your dealer and ask for the service record, as you really should not be mixing 0w40 and 5w40. Here I am going to answer this question for you one more time: both kind oil are official and are in use dependent on the weather of your region (i.e., 0w40 as standard and 5w40 for colder (hotter?) region). Here is the official answer from Mobil 1.

My local Partsource has a special right now.. buy 1 get second half price for the Mobile1 0w40. I just bought enough oil for 2 oil changes as I always bring my own oil to the stealer.

Yep, u can! In Canada we go by liter.. I paid 8.99$ for 1 liter bottle with the special. I believe the stealer charges 14-15$ per liter. They normally use 9 bottles for each oil changes.. So I can keep track of the amount of oil used. I hope they don't charge customers who doesn't bring their oil 10 liters. Lol
