What is the reason on the US Spec car to do not come with folding mirrors?

However, when I went to manually close it again, it didn't budge. Which leads me to believe that they only fold on impact to prevent it from completely breaking off.
But to answer the question, I think it's to save weight. I also agree with the marketing comment. People always changing what they want.

German logic, I guess.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

but I did inquire about them.. From MBenz.NL they quoted me 675 euros for the motors, not the glass or covers which have to be re-used. that also doesn't include the programming via SDS..

The real point is, some top of the line Mercs from 10 years ago had more technology in them than our cars do today. As technology progresses, our features should become better or they should be standard on our cars if we get it fully loaded.
