i have the wavetrac...car pulls faster for sure
I'd consider getting wavetrac before a tune or any other mod actually..factory LSD feels sloppy as hell compared to wavetrac, and well if you have no LSD then dont think twice

OK, I spoke to an installer here that have done a number of Quaifes and they said that they do activate the LSD option when they retro fit. Anyone confirm this when they had them fitted? It would be good to xcheck this.

I spoke to a couple of Weistec dealers today in Australia including the tech that has built the fastest N/A and forced C63s there. He had done over 80 LSD retrofits as well and tracked on both the Quaifes and WaveTracs.
It would appear that the machining required by the WaveTrac on the housing is just a quick burst on the linnisher when they have every thing apart. This is not a running clearance but a fitting clearance issue. So no biggie.
The coding to activate 471 (LSD) does not require SCN and does reduce the sensitivity of the traction control and helps stop brakes being applied on launch.
His preference between the Quaife and the WaveTrac was for the Quaife. Slightly smoother and a little more depandable that it was always going to give you two wheels so a little tighter. He said both were good and his focus was very much at the sharp end of the game.

Could you shoot me a price on the Quaife shipped to 29464.
Also, what's the deal? Does the 471 code need to be activated for optimal performance?

theres no codes needed to be activated with the diff, all the ESP is done through the braking system if a mechanic tells you theres codes needed to be activated their a lying pos ..take it to an actual diff shop not just some general mechanic
seeing they have to shave a tiny bit off to make the diff fit, its a job i would not cheap out on, it would really suck for some mechanic to shave off a lil more then intended then youre really screwed
