I believe Renntech uses OS Giken which is a higher priced option. You may be able to source it at a better price if you know what to look for.

i think the renntech is clutch type and quaffe/wavetrac is gear type....not too sure about the advantages but the clutch type requires more maintenance like diff oil changes etc and clutch plates have to be replaced where as the gear type you install and forget about.

Could be but OS Giken claims no break in period or rebuild required.

Can anyone address any negatives they have had with this? ???
A lot of fodder about sales and bumps and no feedback at all.
This leads me to believe there are a lot of sales and mixed reactions.
Someone who has purchased chime in here please as I have serious traction problems daily. Ty.

i say you wont really notice it daily driving except at like really steep turning entrances when theres really low traction u wont feel it slip as much. its only worth it if you track or like drifting about lol

Renntech uses the OS Giken differentials, I can get these directly from Japan if someone is interested however the pricing isn't much different from what Renntech offers it for.
Wavetrac and Quaife are the winners for pricing and availability. Wavetrac being the easiest to source as it is built in the US.
You would notice the difference from an LSD any time you try to accelerate or power through a corner. Basically any time you've pushed the accelerator to the point where one tire has spun, if the LSD was installed it would transfer power to the other tire and hopefully help you have more control of the vehicle or accelerate more quickly by powering two wheels at once instead of a single wheel getting power.
It can also be very helpful in the coming winter months; if you experience any snow or ice, not saying it is going to save you from an accident but it can prevent you from getting stuck
My friend's mom had a W203 back when they were still new and her lack of an LSD made the car unable to get into the neighborhood we lived in when both my friend and myself were seen ALL OVER town in our Evo's haha

Major difference with the WaveTrac in snow because of how it applies torque.

I haven't heard complaints from anyone yet but I don't always get told everything so if anyone could chime in that would be awesome!
I know one guy installed it because he was getting a noise in the rear diff and with the Wavetrac the noise went away
