Just discovered what a difference S mode makes...
The reason being that "C" is simply all that is required for most driving in Victoria "The Nanny State". Guys, we have stationary radar, mobile radar, speed cameras EVERYWHERE, ....helicopters are also used, we've got red light cameras that also record your speed. We've also got speed cameras on our "Freeways" where you go past the 1st camera & it notes your number, then a second camera maybe a few miles down the road records your number again, & if your calculated average speed for the distance exceeds the posted limit....ya're booked....another ticket...more denerit points.....collect 12 & ya lose ya license....same thing if ya caught just 30ks over....ya car's impounded & ya lose ya license....absolutely RIDICULOUS.
So, these days, we simply just "cruise" along...can't do much else....even if ya're caught "Losing Traction" (spinning tyres on takeoff) that is classed has "not having proper control of your vehicle"....again..vehicle impounded & massive fine.
So yes, we're mostly in "C".
Cheers, Pickles.

Agree bit a Prius is all that really needed
but needs and wants are different. I commute from on country roads about 160KM each work day in S mode. There are a few areas where with out thrashing the car and breaking limits you can get some good enjoyment. BTW there are sites to show you where the Victorian Speed cameras can be placed, both permanent and mobile. My Navman also warns me of permanent speed cameras as I approach them.
