Its about that time again....

....Time for new tires! Story of our lives as C63 owners. I'm curious to see what everyone else is running on their car and what sizes. I currently am running the factory conti sport 3's. On my list of replacement candidates are Michelin PS2's and Pilot Super Sports, as well as Achilles sport tires.

On Another note, I am wanting more sound out of my car, I currently have my secondaries replaced with straight pipes. Anyone out there replaced their resonators with straight pipes? If so, tell me about the sound. I need to entertain myself until I get my tune and LTH's, as paying for this semester of schooling has drained me and stalled my build. As always thank you in advance for the advice and happy M3 hunting.

Xander

Michelin's warranty policy alone is worth buying them. I received $270 back for my rears tires of my last set due to wear. $480 original price - $270 refund =$210/2= $110 per rear tire. What a deal! tirerack.com is your friend.

if you are willing to pay, PSS without a doubt. I love the grip these tires give!

Yes
Ditto on the PSS'.

I opted to replace my rears with another set of Conti 5's and really like them a lot. However when all 4 are done, I'll go PSS all around. The warranty makes it a no brainer.

If you're not willing to shell out on PSS's, I'd highly recommend Vredesteins. I got a a full set off of VulcanTire.com for under $1200 including shipping.

I'm running 245/30/20 and 285/25/20. The grip is fantastic, especially in the wet. They may not outperform the Michelins, but they're REALLY good value. Plus the tracks look cool

As far as the exhaust goes, I have a full, catless exhaust with resonator delete and LTH.

I chose Michelin PSS. The combo of PSS performance with Michelin's tire wear warranty made the decision. I'm hoping things go smoothly when it's time to replace the tires and use the warranty.

I wish I knew about the PSS warranty. I Killed my rears in ~15000kms and threw them out. Replaced them with Kumhos and killed those in 2 months ~2000kms hahaha.

Has anyone ran bridgestone RE11 or yoko AD08? I wonder how long they would last lol. I'm considering getting them since I thought PSS were a little soft for track but obviously i DD the car so i dont want the tires to be gone in 4k miles either lol

Nitto Invos all the way for me. The price and grip factor are just what I need.

245/35/19 front and 285/30/19 rear. Total cost for the set of four was $700

I should also state for the record that I originally didn't go with PSS's because they weren't made in my size when I had to replace them last year.

I also run the PSS 275/35/18 on stock 18's. I've also used the warranty, had to pay for only 1 tire, Americas Tire Co. paid for the other tire. I just wish they had more grip..

My rears wore out in 6,000 miles so needless to say I have a heavy foot.

Wow CoolBD that sounds awesome! I was meaning just Resonator and secondaries deleted and replaced with straight pipes. I will get catless midpipes with my LTH's.

I am currently running 235/35/19 Front
255/30/19 rear
I forgot about nittos and thats a fitment I would like to change to. But I am gonna check out some PSS, I just drove the f10 M5 last week and realized 75% of why the car is so awesome is because of those tires. And natman I ran bridgestone RE-11's on my old 911 C4S, its a damn good track tire. They are wasted on the street in my opinion.

How are the fronts handling at that small size? I love my 275/35 PSS rears, though.

Sorry to threadjack, but can you tell me more about the Michelin warranty? I got 6,000 miles out of my Supersports, what do they do for you if you're less miles then their warranty?

Go to discount tire website and attempt to purchase pss tires. At one point it gives you an option to see what warranty is Offered. On the c with staggered sizes it is 15k miles. There is small prints that say pss needs to be offered as oe for the car, but I think people are getting by. I will try it once my pss rears are ready to retire.

They prorate it to 15,000 miles. I warrantied mine with 14,000 on them and they covered almost an entire tire for me.

How do you verify how many miles?

For the Aussies on here could someone tell us how the warranty on the Michelin PS2s works? Sounds too good to be true, keen to find out if they are offering it here. Cheers

i've run the stock tires, nexens, michelin pilot sport as plus, michelin pss, and now i'm back to my nexens... for the driving i do and the mileage i put on with my daily driver, i've found the nexens to fit perfectly for me. works great in the wet and dry... i get more mileage out of them than the michelins, and they are much cheaper. and i can still cut a 1.9 60' time if i'm on them which isn't too shabby for a street tire at the price...

to each their own. i enjoyed the michelins but even with the warranty, it was quite costly.
