Question Advice on LTH installation please.

Hello all.

I am plan on installing LTH on my 2011 C63 by my self and i need advice from you guy that experienced with LTH.
Any difficulty for this job?
Any trick to make the job easy?
Any modification requiring for this job?
Any extra parts require?
How to deal with CEL after catalyst converter removed?

Little of info:
Tools/lift and automotive skills won't be a problem.
Header are make by MHP (thank Mike)
Car are 2011 c63 with under 5000 miles so nut and bolts probably not that rusty.
I am living in NY state and moving to California soon.

Doesnt CA have stiff rules for no cats and modding an exhaust?

You will need a tune for the headers, don't use the car without the tune, it will run dangerously lean. The tune looks after the cel for no cats.

Get some SMALL socket wrenches. I believe the nuts are 11mm?? I hope you have a set of instructions? I can send u a copy.

Mark the steering column with a white marker before you disconnect it so you put it back together in the same orientation.

Get a couple friends to help. It's a tedious job in small, tight places. 3 guys makes it go by way faster.

I'd suggest an X pipe on the mids, the exhaust sound is really loud and obnoxious without one. I have two left that weld right onto the MHP mids. I can send you vids and pics if u want.

Get some new MB exhaust gaskets before u start.

Dealerships can easily see Long Tube Headers, so you can get easily turned down for warranty claims or they can cancel your warranty altogether. Each dealership is different. couldn't hurt to ask them before you mod..
