Thanks for your help gents.
for whatever it's worth, that doesn't seem like a great deal. I've been looking at them around the vancouver area for a while and a good deal would be around 40. there has been plenty at 45k with that much km's or less, without issues. i as well would move on.

You won't get a CPO '10 with 50,000kms for $40k anywhere in Canada.

I don't remember saying you could? I said it's not all that great of a deal. I've seen a few listed close to 40 over the last year but that was often an 09, not that this '10 is steering you clear of any problems. CPO aside, I was just stating it's not like it was the deal of the century stopping him from finding another cleaner history car that will tickle his fancy just the same.

I'm sorry....I thought that's exactly what you were saying. I was just making an apples to apples comparison

I to am looking at used c63's. Is the headbolt issue specific to 2008-2010's and not 2011+.

The issue was resolved sometime in 2010

I wasn't speaking to dealership costs or cpo cars as I don't know what that's worth. I'm just saying that I have seen a number of cars in vancouver asking around 40k over the last year or two, so I wouldn't call a car with problems and bad history at 46k a deal.

Is there a month or vin number or something to look for in the 2010s to know it's passed the problematic period?

It goes by the engine number. Read the sticky!
