Wheels are like watches, they are worth what the collector or buyer is willing to pay.
watches dont require tires

Fine watches require tune-ups though. The tune up on my Omega was 1/4 of the cost of the watch itself. Granted, there were some parts that needed to be replaced.

If you think $7k is steep, my body shop guy showed me a set of rims a customer ordered that set him back $25k.

Sure they do.

You might cry if you saw the prices on some watch straps, especially rare/vintage ones.

yeah wheel prices can be ridiculous...do they cost that much to produce? IDK but I guess its like paying for designer clothes...you are buying the brand/design

Perhaps, but from what I hear about HREs and from things I read elsewhere, it seems like HREs are as top of the line as you can get without spending ridiculous amounts of money. Sure, $7k is steep, but compare alternatively priced rims and see what kind of quality you get.

MAN! If these were 19 inches and in a tinted brush finish i'd be all over these!!

$7200 sounds about right for WHEELS ONLY. $6000 is a great deal.

When I purchased my first MB and came onto the scene I when I saw the prices for some of the wheels being offered for MB owners. Especially HRE.

I've seen and followed a few videos of HRE on youtube and such. The wheels are expensive and I'd like to take a tour of their facility the next time I head back to California to visit family. I'm sure the tour will reveal quite a bit in why the wheels are priced the way they are.

I come from an engineering background and build airplanes for a living so I understand a little bit about how a product is designed and manufactured. Obtaining the proper tooling, equipment, material, cnc programming, can add up real quick.

I agree Eric @ Supreme Power has the best deal & great communication while I was shopping for some friend's Vorsteiner diffuser.. But none of them had pulled the trigger yet.

C63 AMG P30 + OE Tuning
Has anyone swooped these yet?! They're a perfect set for a white or silver/grey C63!

Would these fit in on a 08 model? I'm still happy with my 19's!
