Anyone know how to get into the cup colder in the center console? 2 of those little tabs got stuck and because I'm an expert handyman I pressed them in all the way and they went completely inside, lol

i don't know, but i'll be taking my car in to get mine replaced...

i just happened to noticed one day that one of them were gone... it must have fallen through... so i have 3 out of 4 right now

it's not a big fix but it happened a couple of weeks after i bought my extended warranty

i heard of this joke once. 'I traded in the car because the ash try was full' ... i think your tabbed in cup holders will justify the same treatment?

i probably would have discovered it early if it happened on the passenger side... but it was on the driver side... can't see it unless i lean over

and losing the piece doesn't even make my car lighter... it's probably stuck under there somewhere...

I did the exact same thing on my 2010, except I only pushed one thru. I downloaded the procedure from MB and got all the way down to the point of being able to figure out the piece had slid all the way back in the console. Thru a series attempts I was able to move it to a location where I could snag it with a telescoping magnet that stuck to the spring.

Once I had the part snapping it back in was easy.

I'm traveling until late Friday, but I can look for the instructions. Not sure I kept them, and they weren't particularly helpful.

Let me know if you still need help and I'll see if I can write something up once I'm back with the car.

Regards,

Joe

Do a search for "Euro centre armrest", or something to that effect. It should have install procedures to remove the centre console and get the entire top piece off. Ive done it before, not entirely hard.

Old thread , but does anyone have the center console cup holder part number? One of the hinged arms on mine popped out into the console and I'm fairly sure the plastic on the mount broke as I found a small plastic bit in the cup holder
