Hello

Just bought a C63 2009 thats in mint condition :-).
Have had a M3 2009 that I traded in and this cars is for me 100% better and so happy that I did the change.

I have a noise that sounds like an air/hydralic pump or fan that comes on a bit now and then.
Have no idea what it can be or normal or not normal?

Anyone that know what this is?

No its when engine is running. And comes and goes.
Been like this since I picked up the car.

So cant say that its something thats wrong but a bit weird. Comes from the drivers side in the enginge bay

OIL COOLER FAN.

Sounds like a jet turbine. Will come on when the oil hits a certain temp. Located in front passenger side.

No it comes from drivers side. And often it comes on when I start the car from cold. And after that it can come on a bit now and then.

Pretty sure its nothing to worry about but would like to know what it is

There is a pump on the driver side the pumps fresh air into the exhaust to heat up the cats quicker on a cold start. I've never heard mine running though.

Yeah could be that one. Didnt know we had one on the C63. Had the same on the M3.

Will pay a bit more attention to it this week and see if its just when I start up or if its when the car is warm as well.
If I remember correct Ive herad it when the car is warm as well

Don't know what it is either, but yes turbine type noise
Mine will come on after every cold start about when the temp hits half
2009 as well/Australian delivered if it matters

Ok at least Im not alone with this :-)

Mine can come on a bit now and then. Did come on today when the car was at operating temp. It did come on as soon as I did put the car i Park mode and stays on for about 10 sek and then goes out.

Well car runs good so I will let i rest and just be happy :-)

Bought my car in about sept last yr an ld it is my daily driver.
So for the last 5 months the "turbines" have come on every day at exactly the same operating temperature and car hasn't missed a beat
Just rrecently had a tune and again same sequence of events

I got the Kleemann Stage 1 tune a week ago and its the same after this so I thinks its more or less normal :-). I Hope lol
