Weistec Supercharged Stage III C63 Black Series versus WeistecTurbo Upgrade E63 M157

I think you will be fine if ur not taking it to the drag strip alot. 750lb ft of torque being put down to the ground from a dig something will eventually break if not upgraded, just my opinion.

This is all you had to say ^. 500lbs is a huge difference.
Previously you were saying the cars weighed the same, one was down 70RWHP and had a passenger and was beating the other car, didn't make sense. I call it how I see it is all.
All your other comments underneath are completely unnecessary after stating the weight difference.

This has been posted by Weistec in the past. They explained that even though the M157 makes so much power on the dyno, the M156 puts it where it really matters. That said , The M156 redlines at 7000-7500 RPM, whereas the M157 redlines between 6000-6300 RPM. Therefore, as the M157 loses potential, the M156 would still be pulling hard. In addition the airflow in the M156 6.2L will allow it to reach a desired value whp quicker than the M157. there is no replacement for displacement
BTW, JRcart, The E63 weighs 4100 lbs. Not much diffrent than your C63 BS. Check out the reviews and the offical AMG website, the E63 is around 4100-4200 lbs

The E is no slouch, the only car it lost to all day was my C BS if I am not mistaken. The E is an absolute monster, they just make and put down power differently. 60-130 I feel the Weistec M157 E is quicker than my C BS. We raced a few times and the E alwasy jumped out to an early lead and the C had to play catch up, no competing with the torque the Weistec tuned M157 makes. Pretty sure Aero and weight came into play at the big end as well.

jrcart: your cars are simply amazing! Congrats on the awesome runs along with the weistec builds! That run on your clk with the gtr is something to be proud of! Regardless of the numbers of horses on any of your AMG's.. They're a mark of engineering respect!

The E63 is a heavier car by a few hundred pounds. As Jrcart mentioned, it's the up top where the Stage 3 catches the E. Based on how fast a Stage 3 C63 is (10.50's in the 1/4 mile) we would say our upgraded biturbo E is right where it should be. The Stage 3 Supercharged cars are pretty damn fast as well. Comparing any car to this is saying something good.

The BMW, SVT and Vette forums are all calling us liers and sangbaggers, they all say the C is putting down between 700-900whp I WISH!!!! i take that as the ultimate compliment though, never hurts to exceed ones expectations.

Thank you and I am not ashamed of losing to that GT-R, I am actually suprised and happy just to be in the same camera frame when we crossed the finish line, that is one serious monster of a GT-R. I was not expecting to show up at this event and have the second and third quickest cars, there was some serious muscle at the event, lots of VERY quick cars. Weistec built me a couple of monsters and I am proud to be able to go to these events and represent for all the MB/AMG owners out there. Every car forum on the planet is taling about "AMG's" "Black Series" and "Weistec" this week...and the BMW guys are taking it the hardest LOL, the Mustang guys are actually being pretty cool with the exception of a couple guys. Corvette guys are being cool too.

Great job by you and Weistec in showing the potency of the M156 cars!
I saw how angry some of the BMW guys are getting about this. There's one particular dude that has just exhausted his mental capacity in trying to make arguments against our cars and falls back on threats of physical conflict! Talk about

Biggest differenc is boost, CLK BS is making 14-15psi as where C BS is at 10-11psi. The higher PSI CLK requires major fuel system upgrades. The CLk is running Weistec race ported heads, Wiestec forged rods and pistons. The C is running stock internals and stock heads and valve train. The CLK is running a totally custom intake system as where the C BS is running the stock intake with Weistec filters. CLK has heavily modded trans and C trans is basically stock with the exception of some cooling upgrades that I had them add for road course use. The CLK runs a race fuel Weistec tune and the C runs a pump gas tune. Both cars have primary cats deleted. There was about a 200-250 whp difference between the two cars at the event but there were obvious traction issues so the CLK could not lay down all the hp.

Hey jrcart, have you tried a run with the rear wing removed?
Would it be too unstable at 170? Not that you need it but, You would certainly gain a few mph, if stability is not an issue. If its adjustable, I'm sure you've already set it for least downforce.

You went the correct route, you will have the flexibility to run smaller pulleys and more boost when you want to, not to mention stronger internals should you ever encounter detonation issues. Keep in mind I have two cars with Weistec blowers, the CLK running big boost with the Weistec internals for drag racing, I didnt want to go as extreme on the C BS, the 660whp I am making is just fine. Nowmhurry up and get your running already.

I see Jrcart is running 11 psi/660 whp on the stock engine and trans. I know you've said the mct is stronger and can take more power than the old 7G. I have a 2012 coupe so I have the mct but no P31 or black series internals ! How much stronger are the p31/bs internals compared to the regular m156 internals? You guys change them either way when going for big power so the black series forged internals obv aren't as strong as your internal upgrades. How much boost/power will I be able to run with the mct but non PP internals?
