Skaarlaj, I'm not sure what the boost is tbh. Static compression is stock at 11.3:1, dynamic compression is altered for the blower via the cams to run under boost. The kit comes with larger injectors.
Jacob, go learn how an engine works and basic tuning principles. The higher the octane the better when playing with boost and high static compression engines. (if the fuels stoichiometric ratio remains constant)

Besides, Byron is usually a faster track than Route 66 and they do not care how fast you go lol. Just show up with a helmet and run.

Well that goes that idea, I am just going to head out to Byron to play it safe. Will you have your cars back from Cali by Saturday? You should join
Good luck out there this weekend.
Do you have drag radials???
Please get some before you go. Id love to know your results as your time with headers was really close to mine.
What elevation is Chicago?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
WTF

That is a little creepy lol haha can you view any track from there? I am most likely going to this drag strip in Indiana called No limit Raceway. I will pm you when I am there, I just hope to get my hands on some drag radial before I go.

Anyone have any advice what the best rpm range is I should be trying to launch at?

Yep if you know the tracking and car number, you can watch live updates.
Dont hold your RPM up for a long time, the car will cut timing ive heard. Rev it up to around 1500-1700 rpm, I think the TQ convertor grabs at 1800. You will need drag radials or you're wasting your time.
Get some 17 inch wheels made and get Hoosier dot drags.. If you have 18s you can try the nittos.. The sidewall on the nittos isn't soft like the hoosier though, the hooiser is a true drag time only dot rated for a certain drag racing class in NHRA.

I am going to have to run on my new NT05 for this Saturday unless I find someone who is willing to loan/rent me some for a couple of passes. I will have finished placing my order for drag wheels and tires by the weekend and hopefully have everything in before next weekend. I only hope I can find time to go again.
When will your build be completed?
I wish that would be great
Can anyone help out with sizing/offset needed for a 16"-17" wheel?!?! I would rather avoid get costume wheels made. I am thinking 17x8 but with what offset

My personal recommendation is that if you are using drag radials, leave it at idle at then floor it as the tyres should handle it. If you are not using drag radials you will have to foot brake so the tires do not get shocked so hard.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I will update with results when I can, I am praying that she will be ready to be picked up tomorrow. Then I can have some time to get the hang of her

If you are, dont leave your radio or anything running. Don't start and shut the car off in the staging lanes moving it up, push it.
It will die on you pretty quick. The GF turned the radio on for about 30 mins maybe and it killed the battery enough that it wouldnt start after.

Thank you sir, I will need it with out radials
Tires and traction are everything at the track. Your MPH will tell you how much power you're putting out and give you an idea of the time you could run with drag tires.
Contact CCW and get them to make ya some 17 inch rims. They will know the offsets, etc.

Yes, Speedriven is the only shop I would let work on my car in Chicago. I don't have DR's yet I am working on getting a pair of 17" first, I should have everything in by the end of the month. But I would just change them out at the track if I did.
