Black Series Tire Question
Hey Guys,
Now I finally have some dry weather and realize the stock tires are less than desirable. What are you guys running, or planning on running for max performance? Not a lot of choices for 285/30/19.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports for the street. 295's out back. They do fit on the OEM wheels, but you'll want aftermarket wheels for a true proper fit.

Uh... the dunlops are actually really good tires. But they need warmup to be their best - which unfortunately can only be done on the track... unless you are driving some nice windy roads.
I actually like the track pack dunlops a lot. For normal driving I have my other HREs that are mounted with Michelin Pilot sports with a 325 width in the back - which makes for good hookups on launches.

I run 265 and 295 on my BS. Like I said, they work fine on the OEM wheels. The Dunlops are a waste on the street, and they only lasted 1700 miles for me.

I use bridgestone Potenza S-04's on my car, and love them. I'm actually taking a step up in grip from them for the track, but will still be running those on the street.
R888's are LOUD, and you really dont need that much grip unless you are going to consistently run them on the track; They are what i use for my GT-R which is almost a track specific car right now.
The 295's might technically FIT, but they DO bulge. We put 295 PSS on, and they were a little too big to be comfortable. Plus technically the 295's are really only supposed to be on 10"-11" wheels, and ours are 9.5 out back. I guess some guys have run them but I didn't feel comfortable doing that.

Great info, thanks. I'll check them out.
