Vic, the best sound IMO is true longtubes, a cat delete and keep the factory resonators.

Which headers did you get? Are they loud? Could you use your car as daily driver? I'm thinking about doing headers on mine too but i'm afraid it may be too loud...
The stock C63's are def slower...but as has been discussed, my car has had small go-fast mods done, so its considerably faster than a stock black series. The headers are loud but this is still one of two daily drivers for me.

Ha, just that small bikini that it is the pic...but trust me, it was SMALL.

I will say...the car is loud. The black C63 that was there was considerably louder than my car, but its only because i had resonators bolted back on; initially we had removed them, and it was way too loud for what i was looking for, so we bolted some in and it quieted down a bit. Personally, i love the sound; I think its the best sounding on downshifts out of any of my cars, but its still louder than i had hoped for.

Sorry, but i actually misspoke when i wrote that message; it was early and my brain wasn't quite woken up yet. The headers are not actually Renntech; they are a custom fab from a company called Bavarian Solutions out near me. When we initially started talking about the headers, he mentioned that they were thinking of going with something similar to the renntech headers, but ultimately made their own design for my car.

Far as power numbers go, we were able to make around 40-45whp non-dynojet corrected. Dynojet corrected, the car was a shade under 500whp i believe. Its absolutely a noticeable gain, but of course with the black series, you don't get as much of a gain from the headers/tune combo as the normal C63, as their motor is tuned down. So a headers/tune C63 black makes around the same as a headers/tune C63(i think this has been discussed on either this board or the AMG lounge before)

OH, and btw the headers on my car are indeed true 4-1 Long Tube headers.

Good LT's, cat delete with resonators intact, charcoal filter delete and some good filters you should expect an honest 480+/-whp on pump gas with a pump gas tune. Go with race gas tune and you might see 500whp or very close.

Cool, race fuel with a pump tune will help a little.. Ive heard 10hp or so.. In the beginning of that race I couldn't tell in the video but looked like he spun a bit but pulled rather well and even after that. Awsome car you have best of luck with it!

Think I found your c63... I remember seeing a couple videos on youtube of this guys c63 a while back and I'm almost positive he is from NY. Also if you look at his other video he's getting an MHP tune on the dyno looks like a beast to me

Got in a lot of runs with both my GT-R and my Black Series, and caught several on video so figured i'd post up a couple of them here if anyone was interested in seeing.

This first one was a low roll race against a CTS-V coupe with a Tune. Both of us had a passenger in the car

Next is one against a Ferrari F430 with an exhaust. No passenger for him, but i had someone with me for both of my runs against him.

Also got to run against a new F10 M5. I had run against one a while back so i kind of expected the result to be the same this time as it was that first time, and it pretty much was. I did NOT jump the start btw lol, we actually started when the flag girl put down the flags, which was a bit before we actually hit the starting line.

This one was an E63 M6 with a bunch of bolt-ons...

Of course, I didn't win EVERY race. This last one was against a C63 with significantly more work done than me. My car was being pretty laggy with it's shifts today, and pretty much every shift he pulled on me. Was the fastest car I raced all day in the Black Series i think, it moved well! Not sure if he is on here but speak up if you are!

Also lost to an SLS, and beat a few other cars as well. Overall, was just a really fun day with real cool people.

NICE!!
