My C63 BS conversion....
#101
Exactly like a BS....but not a BS. Unless he has a BS vin number, the car can not be anything anything more than a fake or clone. Perhaps your position would be different if you had purchased a real BS.

2012 C63 AMG coupe conversion to black series
and it will never be. For me the black Series is a very rare good looking car that is a collector.
I did not found one of the color and with the options I wanted when I decided to do my conversion. Furthermore, if I would have bought a black series I would not have modified it like I am doing with my car.
I wanted to have a car that I can drive everyday, go to the race track, do some 1/4 miles and put miles on it without being afraid of seeing the value going down to quickly. I had the choice between a body kit (Misha design, prior design) and the OEM parts. Without hesitation I choosed the OEM parts...
So there will be no black series badge on my car...I will not put any badge on it except the 6.3 sign on the front fenders.

Wow, looks phenomenal, top notch ![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
To everybody arguing about the BS badges, the guy has put enough money and time into this that he can put whatever god damn badge he wants on there.

2012 C63 AMG coupe conversion to black series
Unlike the CLK BS, where VINs pull up specifically as a CLK BS, CBS VINs pull up as normal C63 Coupes, because the Black Series is just an option package.
Out of curiosity, if you had to do it again and was able to order a CBS, which path would you have taken? Specifically, I'm curious of it was more expensive to buy a CBS or do this conversion with a C63.

If we consider only the BS body work+parts and the new Wheels required, it still less expensive than the real BS;
the price gap between real BS and conversion will also depend on what are the options you had in the C63 when you bought it and the extra mods you will choose to do like oil cooling system, rear axle and brakes....

2013 C63 Coupe BS Conversion
Almost there Mike! I love all the guys on here talking about 'fakes' or 'posers'. Bunch of clowns. It's nothing more than guys who love their cars and love the look of the BS and couldn't get one at the time. We don't badge our conversions "Black Series" and we don't tell anyone they are. Anyways, I like the fact that I'm not the only lunatic to do this conversion
Can't wait to see the final pics!

congrats mike! you've done a good job in keeping us posted on your journey.. a job well done!
one of the reasons why i've steered away from the BS kits or wide bodykits is the fact of needing to get new wheels and tires! as much as i admire your conversion and others, i'd rather stay on what i have right now. but i have to say.. it sure is tempting!!!!

Hey OP , great build and the results are great, Obviously some people are just hating talking about blah blah its a clone or not a real black series , who cares ,he likes it and he did it and the results came out looking fantastic, he never said he intended to put BS badges on it , i dont understand why folks cant just appreciate when someone does something unique, at the end of the day , BS is just a plain old C63 with a new bodykit, couple of tweaks and the feeling that ohh i have 1 out of 150 or however many where made, personally KUDOOOs to the OP , i envy and thank you for showing everyone it can be done, with that i rest my case

In my opinion its just as good as a black series look wise, performance wise is a different story but who cars... i mean, how much did the whole conversion process cost? if its less than 90k for the c63 and the conversion kit then you did great since you have a black series looking c63 amg for like 50k less than what a real black series would cost, it looks really great!

Wow, looks amazing! You are pretty good? How much did it cost? Of course, we all have to remember that labor is not included and labor will be quite expensive.

The OP said in post 102 he was not going to label it a BS. I immediately said in post 103 "no worries and said to have fun with his build so please tell me how is that hating?
The OP understands what makes a black series but you obviously don't.
