Thought I could sneak out to play a couple weeks ago but I guess people are always watching. Whoever took the vid, tks...

Car was running nice and consistent these days so thought I would bracket race...was short shifting about 5,800 and still running low 10.2's with very little ice in the tank and moderate temps. I let off a bit at the very end but still broke out.

During the day I would have likely been running low 10.1's but the non slick cars kept tearing up the rubber being laid with the street tyres.

It was quite funny. There was a car show beside my trailer and at one point I had 15 people waiting for me when I came back from that run...I guess having the only unmuffled V8 at an import show got some attention...

In the perfect world you actually get a bit of separation between the rear tyres and body. If the body is squatting down too much it is wasted effort.

Thanks. It was just my wife and I so I literally swapped out the road wheels for the drag ones and ran.

that's the best part about it.....show the car and then decide " i think i'll run it " and slap on the drag setup and run low 10s . i know my car doesn't have the built motor....YET....but i love the people that say i would rather have your Mercedes than any of the cars in the group ( M3s , GTRs , 335s , CTS-Vs )....then they see how it runs and the jaws drop

Agreed 100%. I was actually going to drive home with the race set up but thought better as the drag radials would have been on their limit with a 160 mile run.

Might run one more time somewhere before meeting up with Jimmy in Chicago for the 1/2 mile runs in June.

Let me know when that will be happening I would love to join. I should have my full build back up and running and would be fun to see a bunch of Weistec monsters going at it. Are you coming for the 1/2 mile Wannago fast event? If so what day?

Campbell, what are you running for an exhaust, 3" all the way out? Doesn't sound like stock mufflers?

The plan at this point is to run the wannagofast event on Sat.

Nice runs! I was supposed to be there with Rage-Tek, but decided not to go. Now I wish I would have gone. Would have been a pleasure to see your car run and the faces on the crowd.
