facelift C63 - source of rattle identified. how to fix?
Hey all,
I have a facelift C63 and have pinpointed a rattle in the console area to be coming from the silver trim (the rounded rectangular lining) where the boot of the shift knob mounts to the plastic beneath. The rattle is more like a quiet ticking sound that goes away by simply pushing down on it.
Does anyone have suggestions for how to fix this? Is it difficult to remove the shift boot? Would applying some goo on the insides help adhere the trim better?
Thanks!

shift boot is very easy to remove.... Sit in car.... grab the base with the tips of your fingers.... Pull towards you and up.
Hope that helps
