I've had my H&R coilovers since 5000km and they are wroking flawlessly on the terrible Polish roads.
Are you sure it's the coilovers?
Do you have rubbing issues?

Ok, I know I said the coilovers worked flawlessly on my car for the first 5000km but now they aren't...
The clunking noise in the front is unbearable and you can hear it on both sides almost all the time when driving slowly.
When turning at very slow speeds the coils make loud squeeking and rubbing noises. Really embarrasing when parking in the city.
And here's the weird part - when you raise the car on a lift and set it down, the noise goes away. But only for about 1 hour of driving and then it comes back.
I checked all suspension components at two indy shops - none of them could see anything wrong or parts that needed replacement.
Has anyone experienced this issue? I don't feel like sending my coils back to Germany under warranty.

Is there a local authorized dealer you can visit? That's probably the only other alternative other than trying to troubkeshoot it over the phone. Unless there's a shop that has a lot of experience with H&R coilovers.

This happens to me when the car is warm and ive been driving for 15+ minutes. When turning the wheel and driving slow its like a creaking leaning sound, hard to describe. I've had the coilovers on for roughly 8k miles. Drives me crazy...

The squeeking sound is the least of my problems.
The clunking noise when driving on uneven surfaces sounds like the front of the car is going to disintegrate...
I am starting to regret that I didn't get the KW V3 setup from the start.

Coilovers aren't that complicated. I've gone 20k miles on mine w/o any noise whatsoever. If I had issues I'd be looking at the end links and top mounts/spring perches.

I am SO glad that I found this thread. I was kicking around the idea of doing H&R because I haven't heard of any problems on this forum. I did it on my M3 and regretted it. I ended up putting on all KW V1 suspension.
I'm staying away from springs - we should encourage others on this forum to do the same.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check the top mounts.

It's the coilovers that suck.
Has anything been to the coilovers before you bought the car?
