Dads C63 got crashed :-(

I responded to this because in my situation, similar to yours, I was able to keep the truck for $5K and got $25K from the insurance. In other words $30K and they keep all or $25K and I keep the truck. Like you I had mucho $$$$$ in the truck, embarrassed to even say how much so obviously I kept the truck sold it and it lives on. Keep the car if you can get a deal like that or maybe even fix it back the way you want it. Good luck and sorry dude hope it works out into a positive situation for you.
Your right front really took a thump, and though I can't see the total extent of damage it looks like frame issues especially when viewing the whack and stance to the rear.

Did FHP say anything about the rollcage?
Is that really how they towed your car on to the flatbed?

I always say even pro race car drivers lose it... I never ESP off unless its a track or a safe empty parking lot...
Sport is ok for the dry and good tires but off especially in a tuned car making 500 HP + is just stupid. Hence the trend for AMG to go the AWD for the new E class, we are demanding more and more power and its harder to handle.... Not to mention the grip about how skinny the C63 AMG wheels are, anemic is an understatement.
The important thing is that everyone is ok, sorry to hear about the accident I always enjoy following your modifications.

Pretty sure skinny rear tyres wasnt the problem on Keith's car though!
Please remember before you respond that I will track whatever car I get. Mostly all road racing events. Obviously I looked at getting an actual C63 BS, then I realized that you can get a good used SLS for about the same money. I also looked at the Viper ACR and new Vipers because they will all be about the same cost. Actually the generation four Viper ACR would be less expensive. Then there is the Lambo Superleggera earlier models. GTR's are out, just don't want one. Perfer to stay away from the Corvettes and other muscle cars(Camaro, Challengeres, etc..). What do you all suggest?
Before you beat on the Viper and its quality etc.... I'm well aware of that because I've owned a few prior to the C63. I know they are more "raw" if you will and it can be difficult to track if you aren't careful. I know all that and because of that thought about the new Viper because of the new advantages it brings to the table for the same cost.
I also know the quality of the SLS will be higher than the Viper but they are similar. Neither will be easy to modify because tuning etc..... but either will be fun. Suggestions??
Anyone who is even looking at a viper knows about the cars lack of refinement, but that's not the intent of the vehicle. Both will not be easy to modify, but the Viper will have the higher ceiling potential and less costly to upgrade. The aftermarket support for the Viper will be exponentially higher than the SLS. Additionally, you will no longer have to pay a MB Tax for your upgrades.
If you weren't such a performance nut, I would recommend the SLS.
