Hello from Paris! And I have a key fob cover/casket question :)
Hi boys! I survived the snow (obviously) it wasn't as bad as peeps were saying because the roads were clear. So I trudged it out. I'll post pics when I am back home on my laptop. Anyhow I am currently in Paris and will be visiting laduree tomorrow morning. But on to my question... Out of separation anxiety I was playing with my spare key and noticed that my spare key doesn't have the AMG emblem thing on the back. So I was wondering if this is normal now for the spare keys to not have it and if not should I a) ask my dealer for it free of charge or b) just order from the parts department. Thanks in advance 
Oh and on a side note, one more question... I dropped my car off a week ago in Munich and still no e-mail or update. I talked with another member and he said it took 30-45 days for him to get any word after his drop off. Is that about the same for everyone else? Just curious. Thanks again

I assume you are talking about laduree on champ Elysee avenue? You can eat there or just get a coffee/chocolate + snacks in the afternoon. So many sweet things over there too. You have to try those "macarons" if you haven't yet.
In regards to the key since i have an 09 i do not have the privilege of the emblem on the back cover. But yeah i read newer models get them.

I was just wondering about your situation, yesterday. I'm glad it turned out okay. I guess there's a huge variance in interpretation for "snow" and "Alps". Anyway, you should have a tin that contains two battery covers. If not, you can go to a dealership and give them your VIN and they should give them to you. It shouldn't cost anything since you just bought yours brand new.

I had the same situation where I only received one cover in the tin can. I have asked for another one as I have been told that I should have gotten 2.
The dealer advised that it costs $200 as the emblem is made of silver. Not sure I believe the cost but cool thing to know.
