Four more sleeps and you get your car!!
Mine is still in Baltimore!
So I just harassed the dealer about the A45 and was told that it was assigned to the ship the "Savannah" and I got the VIN.....
Of course, there is no such ship as the "Savannah" and VIN doesn't show up on Wallenius track and trace.
Love it!

I wouldn't worry too much about the ship's name, quite likely the dealer messed it up. i did a quick scan at fleetmon.com. regarding ship "Savannah". i could not find a cargo vessel of that name, only a container carrier. i would think cars are not carried on those...

Insomnia at night and complete lack of concentration in the day... My 507 has arrived for prepping at the dealer in Durban, South Africa and hopefully it will be in my hands by Saturday... I can't wait. I placed the order in May!

C63 AMG Edition 507 Coupe
AT LAST!!!!! I took delivery of my obsidian black C63 AMG Edition 507 Coupe today! 
Guys, guys, guys, it's fricken awesome !!!!!!!
within two hours of owning it, i got a warning from the cop for a bit of fishtailing off the lights... he was pretty cool actually, i told him i picked it today, still getting used to it. He loved the car good to know that there are some car enthusiasts among cops.
I took a bunch of pics (amateur, mind you) and will try to post shortly. I have to say picking up the car today was a very pleasant surprise. was supposed to be tomorrow, but the dealer called me today (ie 30 oct) asking whether i would like to pick it up a day earlier. Does the bear s#1t in the woods???? HELL YEAH!!!
My car also has the black 19" rims. I don't know, it must be awakening some primeval urges, the number of times guys try to challenge me for a bit of a short dash off the lights. All in good spirits, which was pretty cool too

those sports cars supposed to be chick magnets.... forget it! they're cop magnets. i got another warning today... i was plodding along 40km/h in 40 zone and then when it changed to 60 i gave it a bit of a push... mind you, i slowed right down when hit 60, so the whole acceleration adventure lasted about a nanosecond. next i hear and see are flashing lights and a siren on my 6. He pulls me over and claims that i have been doing 80 and if he tailed me 500m longer then it would be a fine of a size of a small african country's annual budget, etc, etc. i said, "officer, i don't believe i broke the speed limit, so are if you are booking me, what for are you booking me?" bottom line is, i think they got freaked out by the noise when a pressed on the loud pedal. didn't book me but gave me a warning. Are there any laws against acceleration? if you light up the back and leave a trail of smoke i know they can impound the car, but other than that, what gives? this nanny state is s#1tting me right off.

Was it a marked car? It never ceases to amaze me how many people get pulled over by marked cars. As soon as you see one its time to chill out. Drive like your grandpa for a few k's until they turn off, and then hammer it! (I always like to think that if I see one police car it reduces the chances that I will see another one during that drive... )
