C63 price reduction
I heard yesterday that MB Aust is about to knock $25k off the standard C63. The new drive away price will be $140k. Talk about destroying resale value for all us that own them over here. This is my third MB but it will be my last. I remember when Nissan did this many years ago. Each three months their new cars were cheaper. Totally turned the market against them.
There will be circa $50k difference between the standard and 507 models. Bit hard to justify I think.

Omg Harold that's disgusting man
I'd rather a standard c63 for that price
My 2010 will be worth 80 soon

Hi Harold1898,
I'm based in Melbourne and currently looking to purchase a C63...
Do you know when the pricing revision takes effect?
Is it straight away or when the 507 hits our shores?
Cheers,
Brad

Brad, I believe it is imminent and only on standard C63. If you PM me an email address I will tell you where it is coming from and you can call them.

Not quite the same but the C63 launched in Australia about 25K less than the outgoing C55.
Last month Porsche Australia announced a price drop of some 36K or so on the high end 911 models. Apparently they were going to "take care of" those who had recently paid up at the old price.
If this is true re the C63 - which I find a bit strange as the C63s are walking out the door in Australia - it will be interesting to see if the price drop will be applied to the 507. The 507 is supposed to be the replacement for the PP option, which used to cost about 15K over base price. If there is no price drop on the 507 I for one would find it hard to justify paying an extra 40K over base to get what are essentially the Performance Pack goodies.

wow
i guess the stronger the dollar gets, more and more cars will get cheaper.
A few years back in canada, porsche dropped their prices on vehicles significantly when the Loonie was starting to gain value on the US Dollar. Porsche Canada also took care of previous customers.

I call BS on this (not questioning you, just the source), the C63 is already super competitive vs M3 and RS4/RS5, and the next gen C63 is still probably 18 months away from hitting our shores.

MY guess would be they are trying to clear out all PP C63s sitting in dealerships before the 507s start rolling in. Noone will buy a PP over a 507 if there is no price difference or very little price difference.
Remember this is a demonstrator sale, so no saving on a car that is built to order.
Just my 2c.

My opinion is that your source was incorrect and mistook the 3 day sale (20/06-22/06) as a price drop rather than a 3 day sale.

As a heads up, I had it pointed out to me on the clubamg forums that these cars might well be ex-demonstrators from one of the AMG Experience Days earlier on this year at Philip Island race track...
