Its no M3 but I love it so far
I have lurked for a while, having had to many sports cars (NSX's, M3's 7 to be exact) i picked up a nice 20k mile 08 C63... plus my color, RED!
I really went with it after loving my new shop MB Sprinter (plus not a fan of the E9x series M3)
The engine fantastic and there are a few things i dont like
1. The nav is a joke..really? one of my young guys scion xB has better.
2. I had to buy $100 blue tooth for audio (again, really?)
3. Wheel fitment.. WTF!!! NOTHING fits this thing (i've had them all, i wont ever give HRE a penny after my NSX issues, not getting into it)
Anyways really enjoy forum so far and loving the car.. thou i FXXKED up and went with 275/30-19" rears... they rub!! Gonna just set em aside and get Michelin PSS 265/30's but i LOVE my CEC wheels, had them custom done in satin black and a matte clear on faces.
Now save up for the KW coil overs.. **Please note i JUST got this, some things i still need to change..i had roof/mirrors done matte but hate it..going gloss next week..

oh and HUGE Props to 503Motoring! Tim and crew are outstanding, plus they are 2 blocks from my shop. Being OCD and building $$$$ race bikes for a living its hard to find a "car" place that treats customers and our **** the way i do. so check them out, great place!

There is a map update that recently came out. I'm not sure if your gripe is with the UI or the data accuracy, but the update is data only.
Any chance I could see a better overhead shot? Been toying with the idea of a roof wrap.
Most 265/275 tires may not rub. I think it's been said that PSS's are very square compared to more rounded tire brands.

Welcome to the forum, love the red on black theme u are going for.
I agree with u our cars rear offset is weak. I also had to downsize from 275 to 265 due to slight rubbing.
As for ur wheels, I'm not a big fan.. Maybe if they were darker color to go with ur red/black theme, it would look better.

congrats and welcome! fwiw, and this is by no means an acceptable excuse for MB, the issues you have with your car (except for the wheels) have been addressed in later iterations of the C63. that red color is pretty sweet!

Yeah I struggled with darker/all black wheels but fxxk me this car SUCKS for choices compared to my M3's. I change wheels often on cars so I'm not worried.
Max, I know new cars fixed a lot but I wasn't gonna jump into $75k MB my first time with brand after 15+ years bleeding BMW love. I stole this car.
As for tires, I have Conti DWS but rubbing is SOOOO close! Only the right side really too. Pisses me off its probably 1-2mm is all. The 265 Michelin is much narrower treat and section width so I'm assuming will clear. Ill be doing coil overs & raising car @5mm next time

And yea, I really hate the Navi in my MBs. I usually just use my iPhone for Navi since I generally find it easier to use and more accurate.

It's not just the Nav, but the entire system is outdated, and was outdated the day teh car was released. It is Windows CE based, the UI is hideous, and the lack of support for HD radio which has been out for years prior to this car even being on the design board is annoying.
That said, most cars in general (with the exception of those from the last 2 or 3 years) are released with outdated electronics as the testing and design phases can take 2 or 3 years. The radio/electronics you designed in the first place will be outdated when the car is released.

The rear wheels in the first photo you posted look like they're sitting too far out, so I am guessing the rubbing issues are due to the offset being too low. Going from a NON-Michelin PSS 275/30 to a Michelin PSS 265/30 might still rub on those rims as the PSS profile is more square than most.
I can't comment on the outdated electronics, but if it's of any consolation, a colleague of mine has a 2011 997 twin turbo and it doesn't even have Bluetooth connectivity as standard - on a $180K car. Go figure.

Thanks guys. I just bought a tune2air for iPod and now pandora. I gotta have my Deviates jamming but then when my 3 year gets in ya gotta rock the Elmo station so pandora a must!
I'm not sure I'm keeping wheels. I have add with wheels. I'm most likely taking off and going for what I really wanted first. 20" Vossen CCv3 5 spoke solid matte graphite. But not sure ill run the Michelin PSS as its a wide tire (had on one of my M3's) most likely Hanook v12 or Conti DWS. What size tires you guys running with 20"? I'm guessing 245/30 and 275/25? Or 265/30? Frustrating car with fitment compared to my others. I'm LOWERED ON H&R too!! Ill never track with these tires (ill trow race tires on oem wheels if I do) I never have any one in back but my 31lb lil girl
Any 20" tire advice would be great. TIA

Congrats on the c63! Your issues with the car are really not much of anything to bad at least. The nav system is better than my b6 s4 or 335 so idk I find it to work well.. Wheel fitment, make it work. May be a little harder but what can ya do. Those wheels are so awful though I have to say. Its your car and your choice but WOW sooo bad. Congrats on the car and enjoy it!
