The C63, just like the M3 is a dick magnet. Chicks see the M3 as a 3 series and I imagine it is the same with the Merc, just another C class. Before anyone accuses me of being a troll, I ordered a C63 coupe last week.

I have gotten more attention and comments in the past 6 months of owning the gtr than the last 5 years of the C. I think the attention is sometimes a result of admiration, like from a pedestrian and sometimes a suggestion for a challenge, like from another driver. To another driver this car is a bit intimidating. One because, well, it's fast and the m3 guy knows it, so he keeps his head down. (I love m3 s just the same so muffle it) two because if you don't know what it is, it sure sounds scary and fast, too fast to mess with.
I on the other hand acknowledge other better performance cars ( Ms, amgs, gtrs, fs, ps, lambos, etc) when I drive the gtr or the C, but keep it to myself when I am in the GL450. Now when the GL63 comes next month, that's a whole new unexplored territory!

Seriously, for whatever reason that is what pleases people. With the proper fitments etc. There hasn't been 1 event/show/get together yet where my car hasn't had its picture taken multiple times. I don't even stand by it, I just lurk behind the Subaru's with my former suby crowd.

The "problem" is that the AMG is an amped up C-class so people who see lots of them don't distinguish them. GTRs are all animals regardless of which model, because it's a purpose built weapon.

Every once in a while I will have guys in their 20's/30's give me a thumbs up, but yeah, I think most people just see it as just another normal C-Class.
Having ridden around with CoolBDPhenom in his car, I definitely noticed people staring at it far more than when I drive in my car
Curious to see the difference when I get my wheels and lowering springs installed this week.

The dark tints and the red definitely make it an attention-getter, good and bad. I need to go to the SF Hall of Justice for my 4th fix-it ticket I got two weeks ago (no plates).

i'm selfish hehehe.. don't want the attention - just wanted to enjoy it for myself.. the thing is, not a lot of people know about this car - well.. i had a few of that thought it's a c300 with a body kit and upgraded exhaust.. i don't bother telling them that they are wrong, etc..
anyways, there's this one time where i was washing the car and some teenagers in a c300 that wanted to take a picture of the car.. i told them no (not being a jerk but because i'm afraid they'll post the pic of the car - with me in it!)
a few days back, there's these 2 guys really excited walking around the car and when i came out they were asking questions (e.g. how fast is it, was it modified, is it N/A, etc).. he drives a 2013 60th anniversary corvette himself, but said he never saw a C63 up close and was very curious with it... had a nice talk and all - but wasn't really prepared to answer all his questions.. can't imagine having to see fellow members in a c&c (for example - or maybe in a meet-up, etc) just to talk about our cars..

I have a totally blacked out C63, all the chrome is colour match to the body paint, dark tints, kleemann wheels, vorstiner diffuser, and some carbon goodies... sometimes I get people pointing and taking the odd picture.
The funniest thing was pulling into a store parking lot some younger guys probably 18-19 in a pretty beat up Acura Integra saw my car come around the corner and jaws dropped... I can only imagine he said to his buddy" DAMMNN Bro"
The C63 blends in well one of the reasons I like it... its got similar performance to Italian exotics with out the look at me factor...
The C63 is a total sausage magnet not good... I have come to the conclusion that girls have no interest in cars they could care less if your buying a car to get girls well my last three Mercedes have netted me nothing. You want girls you be better off driving around in a car shaped like a small dog, a handbag, or nice shoes...

Wow, I'm surprised to read this...mine gets looks, compliments, discussions, etc frequently...along with many dirty looks/"I'm purposely ignoring your existence" from M3 guys. Ill toss the, a thumbs up first sometimes then a big smile comes or a discussion at a light about how they love the car. People at gas stations often stop me, people will give me a thumbs up while driving, roll down their window and ask what kind of car it is, what engine it has in it, etc. Getting my tires put in recently guys were taking pictures. Definitely get the teenage attn with video on their phones, etc.
ITs not that it's the nicest or most exotic car around. I think people just really appreciate it and enjoy the car a lot.

Agreed! My buddy in a 2001 Kia Rio get's more *** then me with the C63 which is none, but who cares! the C63 has put more smiles on my face then any girl has

Haha yah! The sound is so distinct! and this was for my friends events/cruises in Toronto (http://www.redlinerallys.com). I was actually at the back of the pack and there was some crazy 75-100+ exotics before us. We were just ripping it up Yonge St. for attention LOL

Get a few thumbs up / nice cars a week, occasional photos (people love the storm-trooper look) and some occasional social media loving (instagram etc). Curious to see how coilovers/spacers will come into factor.

To actually contribute, I find that people definitely notice it when your foot is heavy on the gas. Otherwise, it tends to blend in with other C Classes, since a vast majority of the population has no idea what AMG means. The Defender gets way more attention, thumbs ups, questions, etc., and there's no comparison to Lambo/Ferrari. I've been test driving exotics to figure out what I want, and without fail, someone stops me every time in a Lambo or Ferrari (not necessarily a good thing).

Not trolling, and the C63 is a great car, I just find the thread purpose (basically a virtual high five for being C63 owners) pretty entertaining. I of course meant no disrespect with my prior post.
To actually contribute, I find that people definitely notice it when your foot is heavy on the gas. Otherwise, it tends to blend in with other C Classes, since a vast majority of the population has no idea what AMG means. The Defender gets way more attention, thumbs ups, questions, etc., and there's no comparison to Lambo/Ferrari.
