The R8 went 11.22 @ 124.32mph last night. Not bad for the first time out in +1360DA. Hopefully better times in better DA at MIR the middle of November.

Nice run! 11.2 NA Is that the NA record for an R8? I think we will see a 10 out of it at MIR

That is the NA record but in the R8 world thats not saying much. Very few racers in the R8 community.

Hopefully at MIR next month I'll get closer to the 10's.

MIR will have Test and Tune every Saturday and Sunday in March 2014. 5 weekends of "make it faster or blow it up tryin".

If I can get some stickier tires like a drag radial or even the R888 and can cut a better 60' it should run quicker. Best 60' that day was the 1.77 and that was wth all 4 tires spinning.

My opinion: His previous car, (the baddest C63 ever that I am aware of), current R8 build, avatar and race videos scream "Hell no!"

These drivelines are good for a lot more power than I am beating on them with. Many guys are running forced induction with MUCH more power and they are holding up. The clutch is the only issue and I understand they are good to 800HP.

So Dads, how far are you going to take this car? I'm told there are not a lot of aftermarket options for the V10 R8 after a tune exhaust, if so, will you go forced induction?

I am lightening it up as much as I can first and enjoying the road racing. Its awesome on the track!!

On a side note - most of the guys that do a TT end up wrecking them, going back to N/A, or selling them. Its too much power for a DD or a track car.
