This is why I never pay the premium price for a front lip. Get a front lip thats a chinese knock off for 200-300 bucks, so when It smashes into bits, you dont feel so bad :P

Yeah I am lowered but I have actually raised the car a bit to be sure I am getting the as much traction as I can... but i was shocked to see it scrapping on the highway!
olszowa12 the pothole scanner is always on, lol Chicago streets suck which doesn't help! I couldn't imagine having a nice set of HRE's or something it would be too stressful!

I agree, I think I would damage mine almost right away. NY roads are not front lip friendly. I recently pulled out of a driveway (very slowly) which was not steep by any means and I was told I missed scraping by half an inch. My car is only lowered on H&R too.

I scraped on stock suspension in some areas, especially downtown. Never scraped on normal roads. Scrape on some people's driveways no matter how I angle it. The logical thing to do? I gett HR springs, spacers, and waiting on my Vorsteiner lip. That's logic for you. I now avoid all driveways and dead angle entrances. Like a boss.

I hate it when the lips stick out....
I am holding off on the lip for this exact reason and I am nervous about putting screws in my bumper...
Chicago roads SUCK.

That's why I'll never get aftermarket lip (I think the sponsers are having a heart attack atm) lower car + lip is just too much pain no matter how good it may look.

Chicago roads are one of the worst as we have so many potholes right after the winter time and city comes out and fills them and they are never even.
The worst are those stores, plazas that have a huge dip or incline just to enter. P
Ive seen a few g35s, 350z dropped so low they have to twist and turn just to get into a parking lot

On my C350 I had a CF front lip that scraped every now and then in some parking lots. That car wasn't lowered though. I've been contemplating getting a lip for the C63 now but the only thing stopping me is the fact that I would have to drill holes in that beauty!

Get this one - it's higher in the middle and this really helps on steeper driveways:

If it's scraping while driving straight on the highway I would check to make sure it was properly installed. At higher speeds the poly front bumper can flex and allow the downforce of the front lip to actually bend the bumper causing it to kind of sag down. I don't know if it's actually making enough downforce to do something like that but if it's loose I could see that happening!

That is it!
I haven't installed the middle V shaped part that connects the cf bottom piece to the top. I honestly don't like how that look so i am going to try and connect the 2 in a way with out using that piece.
