We usually meet there between 8 and 8:30 and we park by the concession booth on the far end of the stands. They only take cash for admissions so bring $20 to race. If you have guests with you I think it's $10 per person. Concessions aren't too ridiculous and they only take cash there as well

Not that I know of. You don't really need them. We're just going to goof off. No one is going to be setting any records in TX heat unfortunately. I only have them on as they're off my old tuned CLS and the SL happens to share the same wheel specs so why not. I may be the only non C unless the E55 shows up, and the only stock car there.

Excellent. Your Steelers hat, fly2nite's duckbill, and my propeller potty training hat with fly2nite's burning C63 after his engine explodes in the background will make for an interesting photo op.

Considering your original idea was coming as a Furry, I thought the duckbill compromise was doing everyone a solid, but you're right, I'd much prefer watching you take flight at the end of a 1/4 mile.

Picked up a GoPro at lunch to capture some of the action. I had the previous version and the audio SUCKED so hopefully that's fixed with this one.
I have a feeling NOBODY is going to own up to times tonight. DA at 10pm yesterday was over 2700. We're going to see if we can cook an egg on JJ's dashboard.

Yah. For those who have never been or are newer please don't go on dragtimes and look at all the fast timeslips done on the east coast in freezing temperatures and -3000 DAs. You're not going to be running anywhere near those in this heat so don't set yourself up for disappointment. All the cars will be affected by the heat so compare against what you see today, not at MIR in the middle of December.

So far I see me here, and um...me
I ran an 11.2 while I was waiting, but a stiff breeze caught my time slip and blew it into the adjacent corn field so you'll just have to take my word for it. Unfortunately I also used up all my gas so I won't be able to do it again once everyone gets here.

Best I've done in the SL is 11.750@119.04. My '60 is a paltry 1.9 even with the DRs. However its only my 2nd time running DRs on any car so I'm sure its user error. SL is stock non pp with 1300 miles.
I also weighed it on the track scale and with 1/4 tank of gas it weighs 4045 lbs.
