I figured they went to Atco last light, I guess not. Atco had a import vs. domestic event they could have ran at today.

I hope they got to run something somewhere, but I bet logistic issues put a damper on things. They had to start the cross country trip back and many had to catch flights out today.

Im pretty sure they didn't do anything, the only choice they would have had is Atco I believe and I don't think that they went. That's part of the game I guess. I can't tell you how many times we would travel 1000's of miles to sit in rain waiting for the track to open.

That's good. I hope that you enjoyed the East coast tracks and the trip was worthwhile for you.
Maybe one day European drag racing will take off and we can have a few events to go to that are worth making the trip for. Hopefully that's sooner than later. It seems like MIR has a good head start on the other tracks and maybe they will be the first ones to put a quality event together one day.
Unfortunately there are no drag strips in Southern California right now to have an event at.
I think you can put a pretty good 3 track series together on the East Coast between Atco, MIR and West Palm. To bad we are so far away from all of those tracks.

Car sounds good at Atco and turned a lot of heads at the hit, 9.7x was the only clean pass I saw I think was round one of B1 - I was bouncing between index and bracket classes so didn't get to really watch - long day lots of oil downs.

We are heading back now from Jersey. We wanted to say thanks to Ahmad for working hard to set up the event at MIR. Unfortunately the track conditions weren't favorable. We made a few hits at Atco and the car ran a best of 9.75 @ 153 mph and a 4.32 60-130 mph. Track prep was decent but the car was having trouble out of the hole. 1.60's 60 ft on our best pass. We have videos and pics coming soon! Thanks guys!

Atcos a great track and it's a great thing you got to run there. Atco is the first track I ever went down in my life and have had many great days there. It's also the only track I've ever been to that has a full service bar in the pits which is an interesting option. It is also the track that pioneered import racing in the United States and continues to host events that further develop the sport in new directions all the time.
Being in California now you really miss the accessibility you had to go to race tracks almost any night of the week in New York.
Now that the words out on the car how did it run at Irwindale?

Irwindale doesn't believe in track prep. The car would just light up the tires all the way down the track. Best we can get there was a 115 MPH and a very slow ET. We are still running an ET Street Radial. A full slick will definitely solve some of these issues.

That track is truly awesome. The east coast drag racing vibe takes the cake. They call it the winners circle! Fully shelved bar with live stream of the track and every football and basketball game. Definitely awesome! Yesterday we were representing the imports! It's funny seeing dozens of slicked down hatch back Civics and the a CLK Black Series in line.

Atco is a great track, glad you got to run it there I was excited to see it
considering the troubles I couldn't complain about prep granted I'm not making as much power I managed an easy hit 1.47 60ft before taking power out to keep it over 11.50. Very consistent 1.53-1.55 all day/night in multiple classes. Sucks they hit curfew before being able to finish but I'd also like to give Atco credit for paying out more than the original pot when they split - they really care about the racers there and it shows.
Question for you - since this car seems very drag race oriented ever think of converting to a live axle? M/T drag radials are a good tire, they have been extremely quick and I've found them to be one of the most consistant tires out there. Also consider the 275 pro they have been 1.0x 60ft in some of the x275 cars. I've never been a fan of compensating for suspension setup by throwing more tire at it which is why I ask about a live axle, you have 8 second MPH and I'd love to see that happen for you guys

Thats a great number but the MPH tells a better story. Get her hooked up and you'll be even deeper in the 9's.

Our main objective is to race what we sell. Running a solid rear axle would mean chopping up the entire back half of the car. Although we are certain this would fix our issues, this isn't the route we want to take. We are still running the factory rear brake and a 16" wheel which limits us in terms of tire selection. Not to mention the Mickey Thompson ET street radial we are running is the harder compound than the 275 you mentioned. The 275 (which we have great experiences with on other cars) is also 28" tall which won't tuck in the fender without some kind of mini tub.
Anyway this is all a good problem to have. Too much power for the tire... We wil take that. Thank you for the kind words. We all know the car will go near 160 MPH if we didn't have to limit so much power from the gate or have to pedal. 8's can be in the horizon.
