2015 C63 to have 480hp....
or close to it. I know it's not official C63 news, but it is the first time any official output numbers were made public for this engine in any tune. So, what do you current and potential future owners think of this news?

Here's a different post about the new C63 with the M177 engine:

Bardman: The 2015 may be rated less than 507hp but I bet it will make more horsepower and substantially more torque at a lower RPM at wheels with this twin turbo power plant.

Honestly, I don't understand why other carmakers want to compete against the 911. If you are a Porsche fan, and have enough money to buy one, then you buy one, simple as that. The Jag or SLC could be nice cars, but the difference is that the 911 is an icon, and you can't compete against that.
Several feeds confirm the engine displacement (4.0) for the future C63 now. I suppose the car would be much lighter, as it is the trend now with other MB models (S Class for example). I wonder if they will be dropping the steer-by-wire on it as well, what would be the steering feel like? I can't wait to test it!!

Well that sounds kinda underrated for sure. It will probably dyno much more. The current P31 AMG Development Package "officially" has 481 HP and the C63 507 has 507 HP.
Hopefully it will have loads of torque downlow but also not die out near redline. Wonder if the new engine will incorporate twin-scroll or variable geometry turbos like BMW and Porsche.
Can't wait to see the results when tuners get their hands on it.

I am disappointed in the silliness over the link. I did make it to the linked site and yet I still like and will use this website.
