Update..

I am scheduled to get a few cosmetic things done on the car the week of Sep 3. I am getting the grill/all badges, emblems/chrome pieces on the car wrapped in matte black, windows (including windshield) tinted, as well as getting the tail lights tinted/smoked. The place I am having the work done at also has an indoor photo studio so I am having them take some shots of the car when its all done; I will be sure to share with everyone here! This thing should look really mean when all is said and done!

From reading this forum; I now think the only way to have a completely unique C63 is to leave it stock...

I already have a few goodies for mine. I've been a modder since able like many of us here.

not quite you might be more unique on this forum but mb enthusiasts are only a small fraction of the greater MB population. for every one modded c63 I see where I am, I see maybe 3-4 stock ones... and I'll count just swapping side marker lights or aftermarket wheels a mod. And yea, there are a ton of c63s where I live

2012 C63 AMG
looks aggressive I like I like!!!

Side note-
I feel like AMG tho is being watered down with how many models of AMG vehicle they are offering. The AMG used to be the top of the line up but now we have like 2-3 levels of AMG cars. I wish the OP car was the only version out looks great.

Congrats, great looking car. I know the catch can is to help the car but is there any issue with the warranty being voided with this? If the car is under warranty is it worth the risk?

Shouldn't be an issue

From what I understand, the warranty is intact unless the mod can be proved to have caused the malfunction. For example, say you get an oiled air filter and subsequently get a CEL due to the mass air sensor getting dirty from the oil on the filter. Replacement of the sensor technically would not fall under the warranty as the original filter is not oiled.

The only possible thing I can fathom the catch being negatively accused of doing is if there were some kind of debris (such as part of the metal filter) that escaped the can and entered the intake. The odds of this occurring are extremely small while the benefits of not having large amounts of oil clog up the intake (not to mention is displacing air during combustion) are substantial (in my opinion).

Worst case scenario is to take the catch can off when you bring the car in for normal service. Next time I am in the dealer though, I will specifically ask this question to the AMG mechanics and see what they have to say.

Any chance of you posting some more pics?

Would be great to see more of this car, especially as its likely to be quite a rare combination.

I would just be careful, the dealer may not say it's a big deal now but if the engine goes and there is a 20k bill, they will be doing every little thing possible to point the finger at the mods and see if there was any changes made to the engine. I don't even know if there are any cases where installing a catch can on a C63 would have prevented a major failure. If the car is only going to kept <4 years why even bother with it?

I've always kept this in mind. There's no sense in doing this in the first place. A well maintained M156 and its ancillary systems are more than adequate enough to run reliably for well over 100k miles. Unless you have some serious blow-by, performing a catch can mod is modding simply for the sake of modding. To be honest, I wish the M156 would be PVC-less like my WS6's mill.
