New 507 Owner!
I just picked up a new AMG C63 507 Edition this last Sunday! I only have about 120 miles on it so far, but I like what I have seen thus far! While I have owned several cars in this segment, this is the first Mercedes I have ever owned, so please feel free to get me up to speed..
Color is slate grey with the black wheels.. It's fully loaded and stickered out at $91,880.I wanted to get an oil separator/catch can installed on this car right away. I found a couple that supposedly fit the AMG C63 but my engine compartment looks to be laid out a bit differently from all the pictures I have seen on the sites that sell them. I would appreciate some help on this (including how to install it; I cant even find the PVC valve!).
Thanks everyone, and I will try to get some pictures up soon!
There's a "W204 secrets" thread floating around that might be helpful. Check with the Weistec guys. I know they make a separator but I'm not sure if it'll be compatible with your car. They're a forum sponsor.
Interesting colour choice, would be great to see the pictures.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does a catch can do anyway? There was quite a bit of talk about people getting them added to their B7 RS4s to prevent a buildup issue, but I never really followed what they are all about.

So, here are a couple shots of the car on the stinking flickr site I had to create while I am waiting for imageshack to send me an email:

I have catch cans install on both a Shelby GT500 and Jeep SRT-8 and the amount of oil they stop from re-entering the intake is significant! In my opinion, they are well worth their money. They also appear to be more important on large displacement and/or turbo/supercharged motors.

I love this colour! I think I would have gone the silver wheels personally with that colour, but a very nice car!

What is the deal with the DRL's how do they look on the 507. Are the side view mirrors power folding? Is there any start/stop technology on these cars (god I hope not). Are the rear taillights full LED?
Did you get a deal or pretty much sticker...
Thanks -

I would be curious on the start/stop - I had a 250 loaner and it literally gave me a headache sitting in traffic for an hour...I just kept thinking about the strain the electrical system, starter, battery etc every time it cycled...and for what like 1-2 % savings in fuel?
Not sure why they would even try that on a 6.3 motor...
For the DRL's I see so many different designs on the MB cars nowadays, wish they would standardize like Audi/BMW has to a degree...
I like the black wheels with that gray. Give nice twist on the sinister black/black look.
Now I just need to tweak a couple things to make it "mine"...
