I prefer 40hot all around. Start at 30 and work from there. It will depend on ambient temp, driving style, etc.

(1) MY 2013 didn't get the alleged reflash/update software.
(2) alleged reflash does not exist.
I am calling MBUSA/AMG on Monday to see what I can find out. Nonsense.

I'm still experimenting with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my SL55 (255/35ZR19 front, 295/30ZR19 rear) and have had good results at 40 psi front and 45 psi rear (295/30ZR19).

WOW....those PSS's run high pressures! I track with RE-11s on my black series and i always start 25/27 cold and get up to 31/33 hot...ive had it jump up to 38-40 on a really hot track, and it was like i was on ice skates.

I have never seen a C63 at any of the track days I've run this and last year. Merc63 is so right. All I see are topics about the latest carbon fibre accessory or wheels or new shift knobs, etc.
I generally run around 38 to 42 cold on my street tires and 40ish rcomps. Got the new flash but could not try it out as I got euro charged which reset my tolerances. Barry has been very helpful and we are going to sort it out. Meanwhile, I generally hit limp at 138c. If you don't pull it past 7000 and are a bit decent on engine braking, the car usually runs OK on short tracks this way. On longer tracks with long straights the car is generally good, just needs a bit of care. I find I shift less in manual and can keep temps down esp. With tune.

I just stuck with 40 all around today and hit 46 hot give or take.
The amg was a monster on the track. I still haven't got the courage to go all out on it yet.

The proper pressures depend on the tires - they'll be different for 18s and 19s and for different tire make/models. R-comp tires usually have stiffer sidewalls than street tires so you can run them at lower pressures.
Get some white chalk and mark the tires radially from the sidewall to the thread in a few places on each tire. Usually you'll get the best traction at the lowest pressure at which you're not rolling on the sidewall.

DiscoZ - what car club or group do you usually track with? I go to Mosport and Shanonville at least a few times a year (in my P-car though) and I've never seen a C63 myself either. It would be fun to take the Benz out one day and have another one there in the came car!

i have run my C at NHMS, which is a very technical track. The car is fast...actually slightly faster than my GT3 on the straight away. The biggest issue for me is safety. I have a roll bar with proper 5-point harnesses in the GT3, which allows me to wear a Hans device. In the C63 not only am I not wearing a Hans device, but I am also bracing myself with my left knee since there are no harnesses to hold me in place. Given how fast both cars are, a lot of this comes down to safety. It's not like running an old E30 without a cage and restraints. These cars hit some pretty serious speeds and so safety becomes a real concern.

I am seriously considering a E46 M3, Z06 or a 370Z for a track only car (keeping the C63 for the occasional track day and for street use).

Sorry for the late reply, was on vacation. I generally try and run the Mosport GP track at least once a year and then run Cayuga. I've never run Shannonville as they have restrictive days and I used to have a very tough schedule. I am hoping to run the next Shannonville open lapping day in September. I have run 6th gear, Mezcon and the CSCS track days. Also do a lot of open lapping. I have had bad luck this year and have only been able to really run a very few of the 5 or so days I've tried to run. Let me know if interested, I am planning on hitting most of the Cayuga and Shannonville track days left this season.

I'd second the recommendation for the Cayman S as a dedicated track toy; it's pretty much arrive and drive in that sense.
The E46 M3 isn't bad, but it's heavy relative to the power from the 3.2L. The E90 is a better choice, but obviously pricier.
A Z06 is an excellent choice, as it's essentially arrive and drive as well. The Z06 is a ton of fun at a HP track like Mosport, but I'd bet the Cayman S is more fun at a shorter, tighter track like Cayuga (I'm surprised Cayuga is still open...I know they had tons of issues with noise a few years ago). So something like the Cayman may be a better compromise overall.
The 350Z / 370Z may be a decent choice....good handling, not terribly over-weight, and reasonable power. My biggest complaint about those is the thrashy engine....it's just not a smooth powerplant like the BMW I6, or almost any V8.
Had my C63 at Mosport earlier this year; the engine is phenomenal for the track, but the limp mode is a huge PITA. MB and AMG should really have engineered that better (which they did on the Black).
This is part of the reason why I'm looking to swap my C63 for a 997 Turbo. As much as I love my C63 as a daily driver, it's frustrating as a track toy compared to BMW, Porsche and the Vettes. While the 997TT isn't the best track-toy option from Porsche (as noted, a GT3 or Cayman S are better, pure "sports cars" than the 997TT), it's generally more reliable and better performing on the track vs the C63.
Doesn't sound anywhere near as good though. A GT3 at full song is pretty good....different, but pretty good. The C63 does sound wicked going around Mosport (for 3 laps, anyway!)

of all your choices, I would recommend the Z06, though if you are not limited to these 3, you should look for a Cayman S. A friend of mine just picked one up for 35K with under 30K miles, and with a roll bar, harnesses and seats, it's a great track car. I had an E46 M3, and even after a full moton suspension, and all sorts of other upgrades, it was an overweight pig that went through brakes and tires like water. I would argue that a C63 is a better track car - just as expensive in terms of consumables, but with better brakes and more power.
Stay away from the Cayman and Boxsters for track use. There are many a reported seized engine from Porsche owners on Rennlist due to oil starvation.

Porsche 911 Turbo S 2014! E63S 14, Audi S8 13, CLS63 12, E550 12, C63 09, all tuned
One of the coaches at track event at Road America had a Cayman, he was better on the curves then my C63. But I walked away, from him on the straights.
The guy tried his best to caught me, he told me later.
But on a short track he would have beat me.
