Track days, AMGs where are you?

That's definitely one thing in favour of the Z06....the Chevy dealers around here have been quite good about any warranty issues when taking them to the track. They've generally encouraged it, rather than fighting warranty claims on any issues.
The Cayman really does need more power....it's a sweet platform that needs a proper 400 HP engine in it.

Thanks for the comments on track cars. Cayman S' are high on my list, only issue is oil starvation, which I've read about. Need to read into it more.
On Mosport, I've not hit limp in my C63, albeit on a day that wasn't as hot and I didn't push it on the back straight much, would let off after 230-240 to let the car cool. New flash should be good for Mosport - I had it but lost it due to getting Eurocharged, however I am sure we will resolve that.
I do feel I am faster with the C63 than my E92 M3 on Mosport. Cayuga is the challenge for the C63, but I am getting better and the R-comps help a lot.
My best car for the track thus far was my 2007 Z4MC.
EDIT: My FBO E92 M3 was marginally faster than a Boxster Spyder on the front straight at Cayuga - which was about the same as a Cayman R. My C63 APX when stock felt faster than the M3.

I am looking forward to getting a feel for my new KW V3's at the next Open Track Day at Eagles Canyon Raceway in about two weeks. And I am wait listed for an event at the F1 track in Austin TX (Circuit Of The Americas). I hope I get in. I had to wait for the last round of registration since I wasn't a member of BMW CCA at the time. But I am now!!

I just bought a new 2013 AMG C63 and have almost 500 miles on it. On my navigation i already have Willow Springs Raceway, Auto Club Raceway, Buttonwillow Raceway and Laguna Seca Raceway. I looked for AMG clubs in Southern California that have track time but couldn't find any. I have a call into the Porsche Owners Club that has track time at all these locations. If anyone knows of an AMG club in So. Cal or is going to POC events, let me know!

Summit Point in WV has put up their track schedule. Lets get those AMG's out there. http://summitpoint-raceway.com/
I'm scheduled for track days at Summit Point on Friday March 7th and Friday May 2nd. They also have a March 28th track day that I may attend as well. Trying to get to solo!
I hope I can make it work to get to the VIR 6/9 track day.

What area do you come from? I'm 20852 just north of DC and about 1.25hrs to Summit.
I didn't book the 28th yet just in case the weather is no good for the 7th. They let you have a one time reschedule no charge.

Yay! I'm in @ COTA (Austin) F1 track in March. And Eagles Canyon Raceway tomorrow. Circuit Of The America's is going to be awesome. I am already watching in car YouTube's in order to learn the track.

Nice! I'm originally from San Antonio. With all of the new tracks in TX I really need to move back. And for the warmer weather!

Track days in March... must be nice. We're still expecting snow and freezing temperatures for another four weeks.

CLK63 AMG Black Series
Hi all, another CA C63 here.
I've done Thunderhill, Laguna Seca and Infineon in the last 12 months in my C63... hope to see some others out at Trackmasters, NCRC or BMW club events. I also do autocross with SCCA, BMW club, Lotus club etc. Say hi if you see me!
Car has 245/265 Dunlop ZII and Endless brake pads.

Summit Point WV has a track day next Friday March 28 with openings still available if any one is available. I have a reservation already and the weather report has been creeping up into the 60s so lets hope it sticks. (the weather and the car)

Nothing but options and it doesn't matter what kind of car you have with any of these groups.
Below is my full time gutted C63 Coupe track toy and I'm out all the time....

Shift S3ctor, Speed District, Extreme Speed and Speed Ventures all run track days in SoCal and between them you can pretty much get out whenever you want at Auto-club, Streets of Willow, Big Willow, Buttonwillow and Chuckwalla. You can also compete with Global Time Attack and/or Red Line Time Attack in SoCal.

My bro in law sent me a picture of your car the other week talking about how badass AMGs are now to him, (he's an EVO guy) now the dots connect. Nice C63 coupe.

Thanks man and that's awesome. I've been out the last few weeks having some fun. Heading to Buttonwillow again on the 30th. All levels welcome if anybody is interested in going.
