It takes some practice, because there are clips inside that can get broken quite easily.
This is the old mirror but it's actually almost the same on the new mirrors:

Yeah, I saw the video where the guy had to align the mirror carefully than pull up the covers.. I'm not very keen on doing that, I'm sure there is another way of separating the covers?

Oh so all the 507 pics we have been seeing are with painted black mirrors? I always thought they were CF? If so, big fail from AMG not to give CF mirrors for such a special edition car & considering the price tag.

Correct. Gloss black wing mirrors, boot spoiler, grill surround and bumper LED surrounds.
Agreed, not being able to get the exterior carbon direct from the factory was a very odd decision by AMG. Thank goodness for Matt.
